I had a wonderful stay at this charming place in Milano! The owner Mia really makes you feeling at home. The house is in a great neighborhood with restaurants, bars, nice shops and public transportation very closed by, and it's still absolutely quiet and peaceful! My room was large, tasteful and very clean. You really get a lot for a...

I found Cocoon at http://www.designsponge.com/2009/02/milan-design-guide.html, one of the bloggers (Miro - nomadistanziali.wordpress.com) suggested this little b&b as a cheap and chic stay and I didn't regret for a single moment. Located just a few steps from Porta Genova metro station over a green bridge, still downtown, but hidden a bit, Cocoon is the cutest cosy place with a garden, that...

Stayed for four nights with my husband. Very good location, peaceful and quiet, and still within easy walking distance to a lot of nice places. The Navigli area is close by, and we loved to be able to walk back after a nice dinner out. The Red Room was nice and clean, very large compared to other rooms we've had...

This charming B&B was more than we could have imagined. So much like home--warm and welcoming-Attention to every detail! Wonderful continental breakfast overlooking the manicured courtyard. My sister and I called the grey room our Milan home for the week. The ground level room housed twin beds and private bath-spacious and very comfortable. Convenient to Central Milan...Neighboring restaurants and bars...

What a great little place, a real find! Lovely rooms, we stayed in the beautiful Red Room with plenty of space. Mia (the owner) is such a lovely person and very helpful, her staff cleaned the rooms immaculately every day with fresh towels. Breakfast is great too with flexible timings, weekends it is so nice to be able to eat...

This b&b was an absolute god send. We were exhausted from all of our adventures, and cocoon provided a haven for us to recoup and relax. From the outside it looks just like an old plain building, but once u walk through the gates, you feel like you have entered an English garden with a posh like decor. The owner...

We stayed beginning of May with our family of 3 teenagers and had a really good time, The rooms are spacious, very nicely designed, high quality and the breakfast is excellent. It is very close to Navigli and only 15 minutes with the tram to the Duomo. We stayed in the red room and the kids in the room next to...

to be fair, this review is for the room on the 1st floor and not one of the three rooms shown on the cocoon website. we were perfectly content with our room (nice, quiet and warm) and private bathroom. we were fully aware that it would be adjacent to mia's office and that didn't bother us at all. she instructed...

I discovered this B+B when the original place I had booked was flooded and they suggested it as an alternative. Very near (5 mins walk) to Porta Genova metro stop, very well appointed, great B+B with a very helpful (and English-speaking) owner. Excellent. Would have had 5 stars if it had air conditioning! I was there during a heatwave and...

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
