We have just spent 4 nights at this hotel. Just round the corner from La Scala, two minutes walk from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the Duomo, and on the edge of the Brera district, it is perfectly positioned for visitors. The staff and the service provided were wonderful. Our 40th wedding anniversary trip to Venice was booked for...

This is a jewel of a hotel and a great place to stay right in the middle of Milan without being in the midst of the tourist throngs... The hotel is on a cute street just 5 minutes walk north of the Duomo/ La Scala and yet feels in an entirely different neighborhood. The hotel has a boutique feel throughout....

My partner booked this hotel as a romantic treat for Valentines day. The room was lovely. Nicely decorated with a flat screen tv. Hot tub in the bathroom. The staff were polite ,friendly and very helpful. They reccommend a good local restaurant to us. The hotel is conveniently located in the Brera district and within walking distance of all trams...

As a fashion editor I have been travelling on a regular basis to Milano. For some years now I've always stayed at Milano Scala. Good location, good beds, good design, good rooms, very good bathrooms (the baths are equipped with jacuzzy type bubbling, perfect after a big day). service is always impeccable - they know how to handle invitations and...

The hotel is pretty nice, modern and with a good service. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The location is great, just few steps from the best shopping area in the city. Moreover it is walking distance to 2 subway stations/lines. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: the bed is very uncorfotable and so are the pillows (bed super hard). Bed...

We stayed three nights during New Years Eve. The staff is very very friendly, helpul and superfast. The beakfast was extremely delicious. You are offered a great buffet from where you can choose fresh fruits, different kinds of bread and cake, eggs, cheese, salmon, tiramisu, tomatoes and so on. Although the room wasn´t huge, everything was extremely clean and the...

Location is great, 15 mins walk from the main station. It was easy to find. It is situated in the Brera area with lots of eateries around. The room is very comfortable, boutique, but a bit small. The lobby and breakfast area was elegant, and cosy. I have stayed in other hotels in Milan with very bad conditions. It is...

Its all down to this: average. All your basic demands are satisfied, although its a old building, not confortable but you can spend one or two nights without a problem. For the price demanded, i think you can easily find better offers.

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
