This hotel is superb in every way. The location is perfect, right in the centre near the Duomo yet quiet and relaxing. The rooms are delightful and the breakfast full of delicious options. I’m saving the best for last: The people who work there, all of them, whether it’s the front desk, the breakfast and aperitivo (free by the way) ladies or the cleaning staff, you will be greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a small hotel with a big heart and one that will leave many memories. I can’t wait to go back for the third time!

Perfect location, really close to the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle II, pretty much all tourist spots can be reached by foot or tram which you can catch from nearby. The rooms are lovely and decent size. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and ready to help out with any queries we have. They also recommended some good restaurants and unique things to do in the city so don't hesitate to ask! Morning breakfast is amazing, outdoing many other five-star hotel restaurants with a great selection, and eggs and coffee made to order. In addition there are other perks like free snacks/fruits/water available all day and a free soft drink minibar.

We made a short trip to Milan and booked 3 nights at this hotel. The atmosphere is nice and looks stylish. The hotel is centrally situated very close to Piazza Duomo and public transport. There are some great shops in the same street that sell high quality Italian products. Breakfast was impressive with fresh eggs served as you desire. There was a great cereal/ fresh fruits section, charcuterie and cheese section, bread section, fresh spinach pie daily and a sweet section with various croissants, cakes, pies and warm pancakes with Nutella or maple syrup. A selection of jams is always ready for you on you table. Vegan and gluten free options were available too. The staff are always present during breakfast and always available for your requests. The room was very clean and good sized, equipped with anything we needed. The bathroom had all amenities and like most hotels the hair dryer is not super strong so in case you need to style not just dry your hair better bring your own. The fridge items are included in the price you only pay extra for alcohol, and room snacks are replaced daily. Although rooms are soundproofed from street noise, they are not from internal noise. That means you will hear every flushing and people talking in the corridor. If you need to sleep in you cannot as you will hear room cleaning at 8am. Maybe the cleaning staff could make some extra effort to avoid making noise (like the bag with empty glass bottles being removed that we could hear daily). Apart from that issue we really were enjoying our stay. The staff are really nice and helpful and they are aware about the sound issue but unable to help. I would definitely revisit this hotel though as overall it has many advantages. Thank you!!

I have been staying at Hotel Spadari for over 30 years for business as well as pleasure. It feels like my second home … everyone is so warm and friendly ( I first travelled as a young women on business alone and the Hotel team always made me feel safe and happy) The location is spectacular just beside the Doumo. The rooms are spotless with attention to details … the breakfast is delicious with your choice of eggs and lots of other goodies. My husband and I just returned from celebrating our anniversary in Italy and we were welcomed with big smiles and a cappuccino by lolanda & Matteo whom I have know for 30 years!!! True friends in an amazing Hotel … we just love Hotel Spadari!!!

This hotel has definitely earned its high rating! Spent four nights near as part of our vacation in Italy. Location is great, right in the heart of Milan and easy access to metro and trams. The reception staff were all so friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. Iolanda was especially helpful to us during check in and throughout. Had a room on the seventh floor facing the street with a nice view over Milan (Special Deluxe with View). There was a sliding door and windows that opened if you wanted fresh air. Absolutely no street noise at any time, not even from the tram running in front of the hotel. This was a big plus.

Room was big with good size bathroom and walk-in shower. Did not have a 110V option in the bathroom like some hotels do, but no big deal. Some space on sink for putting things but more on shelf below sink. Large closet for hanging all your clothes. No real drawer space, but places to put suitcases out of the way to access what was needed was plenty sufficient. The free minibar (as to non-alcoholic drinks) was a nice variety and restocked daily. Cleaning of room daily was very good and everything needed was replenished. And the air conditioning worked excellent, which was needed as was hot and humid during out stay. The one elevator is small as is typical, but we squeezed in two of us with our two suitcases (just for departure). And surprisingly did not have to wait long anytime during our stay for the elevator; not sure if due to low occupancy with COVID, or maybe most people stayed on lower floors.

Breakfast was included and was continental, except you could also order eggs and omelets from the server, which was good to have a few days. Plenty of tables to sit at. The staff had to serve you from the fresh food trays (due to COVID), but you could select other prepared items yourself that were individually wrapped. Fruit cups were especially fresh and good. During the day, you could also help yourself to the snacks that were left out and have a coffee if desired. Was nice to come back from sightseeing and take a refreshment break there. Had a small bar but we did not use that.

There is also a pharmacy next door to get your COVID test if necessary for travel. Results were available within half hour for the rapid test. Just have to make reservation there as was quite busy.

Overall the hotel is well kept up, classy, nicely decorated and maintained, and clean. We experienced no issues whatsoever during our stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting Milan! Great job Team Spadari!

This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in in all our travels to Europe. Amazing and helpful staff (every single person we encountered had a smile on their face), delicious breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes, croissants, meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies, yogurts, delicious coffee, etc…), great selection of snacks and fruits you can grab anytime, free water bottles, lovely and clean rooms that are spacious, as well as a large bathroom, and a/c that works! The cleaning service for the rooms did a fantastic job. The lobby is modern and so nice to hang out in when having a drink from the bar. We were always rested and refreshed when we’d start our sight seeing! I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

My husband and I stayed At the Milan Spadari for four nights. It is a small hotel, a few blocks from the Duomo. The location was fabulous. We were able to walk everywhere, or take a short cab ride for some farther distances. The hotel was unprepossessing, inviting and immaculate. The staff could not have been more helpful. The clerks made all our reservations, some of which I requested in advance. They were knowledgeable about the area, and spoke perfect in fluent English. Our room was spacious, with lovely appointments. Our room faced the street in front, but we were not bothered by any noise at all. The breakfast service in the little downstairs café area was delightful. There was all manner of breakfast treats, including egg dishes made to order, with bacon or sausage . Little treats were available to munch on all day long. In the late afternoons, Prosecco and sweets were offered. For a small hotel with a small staff, the service, ambience, and cost of Spadari was a far better experience than any five star hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Do yourself a favor, and stay at the Spadari when next you visit Milan. It gives tremendous value for the money, and you will have a hassle-free and pleasurable time. And, as an extra bonus, the fabulous provision store Peck is right next-door!

This charming hotel is located in an ideal spot for sight-seeing, public transport, shopping and access to the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Staff goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and had a lovely 6th floor room with an outside terrace overlooking the streets and rooftops below. The bed was extremely comfortable with an excellent assortment of pillows and housekeeping did an amazing job of cleaning and sanitizing every day. Large bath towels and a wide array of bathroom toiletries and supplies were also provided. Non-alcoholic beverages were complimentary in the mini frig; alcoholic beverages were priced accordingly. An electric kettle with instant coffee and tea in the room was a nice touch.
A lovely dining room and breakfast staff greeted you each morning. Eggs were cooked to order and the buffet offered a generous assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, juices and pastries. A pancake station was also quite popular with guests. A cocktail hour was available in the same space and adjacent lounge each evening. Decorated cookies and assorted candies were offered throughout the reception area each day.
There is only one small elevator but it rarely required a wait. Front desk staff is always attentive and welcoming. On the day of our departure, we had a 6:30 am flight. Staff arranged for the 4 am taxi AND had a bag of breakfast foods for us to take along on our way to the airport! We really hated leaving the Spadari al Duomo. It was a home away from home and will be a wonderful memory in the years to come. Grazie!

The Hotel was excellent and we highly recommend it. It has a modern interior design, with decent artwork. It is centrally located in Milan. It is within walking distant of many museums and 'The Last Supper' exhibit (a must see). Good to very good restaurants are nearby. Our room was cozy, clean, well maintained, and the bed comfortable. The AC was excellent (not always the case at boutique hotels). The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate and the service efficient. Late afternoon snacks with complimentary (unlimited) Prosecco was very good. Everyone practiced good Covid safety and wore a mask. This is a lovely hotel and great value for the money. No need to spend 400-500 Euro/night at a big hotel. Save it for the food and stay here.

Italy is safe, full vaccination rates are higher in Italy (59%) than the U.S. (55%). Everyone we met wore a mask indoors (mandatory) and many outdoors. Milan is half empty as Covid has kept away many tourists. Now is a good time to visit. Prices are reasonable and many hotels have rooms at discounted prices. The crowds are gone.

I booked the Classic double room with a small balcony, a view and terrace for 3 nights in early Dec 2022 and was placed on the 6th floor with a street-facing view and a distant view of the Milan Duomo cathedral.

My initial concern about street noises were unfounded as I found out that the balcony and the room had two sliding glass doors that helped to insulate against the noise and cold in winter. As a result, I didn’t really hear any significant street noises and also enjoyed the balcony view when it wasn’t too cold to step out for a while to admire the skyline and somewhat distant but still visible view of the Duomo.

It also helped that the hotel was on a smaller lane (via Spadari) off the main road (via Torino) but extremely convenient, as it was a very short 5 mins walk emerging from one of the Metro Duomo stop exits near via Torino with Zara at the exit serving as a landmark.

The room looked exactly as featured on the hotel’s website and was very nice and the bathroom was clean and spotless!

The breakfast was decent and the hotel reception staff were generally friendly, greeting guests as they walk in. We were also recommended a nearby restaurant Sofia Lauren for dinner on the first night, which we liked.

Overall, it was worth the price we paid for, for all of the above!
