I was delighted with my first visit to this true Italian 4-star hotel. Even with many rooms this hotel feels like a cute, boutique style hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and greeted us like returning friends. The bar has delicious coffees and complementary snacks. Out accommodations were Roy and well appointed with a nice terrace and... More

At two paces from the Duomo this hotel is very well situated. Greeted by friendly staff on arrival, check-in was fast and simple. This is a 4* hotel and doesn't pretend to be anything more, but it's an excellent one. Free minibar soft drinks (that are refilled daily) are a nice touch. Rooms are a decent size and clean. Wifi... My husband and I just spent 1 night at Hotel Spadari al Duomo and wish that we could've stayed longer. The staff was wonderful and informative, even accommodating us with a "to go" breakfast for an early departure. Our room was lovely, great amenities, VERY comfortable bed and beautiful linens. We had a balcony off of our room that we... More

HOTEL SPADARI Milan I love Italy, so I must be absolutely honest in my comments! Hotel Spadari is perfect. Stay, you will not be disappointed. We had a deluxe room on the 1st Floor, near the lift and overlooking the road. Immediate concern was noise, but totally unfounded. Double glazing, and apart from a rubbish collection in the morning, not... More

We found this hotel through TripAdvisor. What a great place! I highly recommend it. It is quiet, convenient and clean. The breakfast was wonderful and plenty to eat. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of the staff members helped me with dinner reservations and with tickets to the Scrovegni Chapel. There is a wonderful grocery next door called Peck... More

My husband and I stayed here in May, for one night. It was our first night in Italy and we could not have felt more welcomed from the staff at this hotel. We arrived super early; they took our bags out of our hands, checked our reservation and told us the great news - that they could get us in... More

We spent three nights at the Hotel. Upon arrival, we were told that we had been upgraded. It was a very nice, clean room, but still on the small side. I would hate to see the size of our original room. The cold water, Pellegrino, soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch and most welcome after our many walks.... More

Unbelievable staff, front desk was one of the best we have scene. When we arrived early, they got us coffee and pastry to have while they checked to see if our room was ready. Short distance to Cuomo, Peck next door Prune & Armenac gelato, and all their suggestion for eating were great.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
