This hotel has many restaurants in the immediate vicinity and it is a pleasant walk through the nearby park, Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli, to the central area where the vast majority of Milan sights are to be seen. The bedroom was rather small, but the bed was comfortable and there was no disturbing noise during the night. The breakfast is buffet, with a wide arrange of food to suit everyone's taste. Because it is a large hotel, there were always queues at the reception desk for people booking in and out. I would stay here again. It is relatively cheap, provides a good night's sleep and is well located.

Decent hotel, rooms and hanging facilities for clothes limited, but most people don't stay long term here. We had checked in online and arrived at noon and were apprehensive about being early but were allowed to go directly to our room, so we were able to get out and about to make the most of the day.

Staff spoke good english and were pleasant and efficient.

Room was spotless with just basic toiletries of one big container for shampoo/body wash etc. This is an issue for me having long hair, but fortunately we had our own toiletries with conditioner etc.

Was dissappointed no tea/coffee making in room or a free bottle of water, we like to have a drink pre going to bed.

The one big bugbear was that the wifi was non existant (room 318) and I had to dress and go into reception to log on to check into our flights, this was not good in this age of technology when they expected us to check in online for the hotel iteself!

There was a small safe which we managed to squeeze our valuables into in the room.

Outside is a taxi rank and there seemed to always be a taxi there. We took a taxi to Linate Airport the next day which cost 20 euros (cheaper than one to the station + the shuttle to airport).

It's about 30 mins walk to the centre of Milan (Duomo).

Would we stay here again - yes I think so.

The hotel has a nice decoration and great outdoor space in front of the entrance, the exterior of the building looks pretty worn but interior is good. GOOD things: The rooms have their own small fridge unlike most Ibis hotels I stayed in the past, clean and tidy, coffee maker, free bottle of water every day, some small bottles of shampoo and toiletries are provided as well, service is overall good and staff is friendly.
BAD things: Aircon doesn't cope with the hot weather of these days (May 2022) and leaving a window open will be noisy, prepare for a hot night, breakfast is a bit sober and because of some groups the breakfast area was crowded and noisy, rude people in those groups as well but that's not in the control of the hotel.
LOCATION? The location makes it easy, not too far from the central train station, close to tramlines and close to the main road coming from the station, so it's easy to find a restaurant in the evening that doesn't overcharge.
Overall score 6.5/10 ...

Ibis Milano Centro is an excellent hotel to stay while in Milan -it's located not far from the train station, and also with a Metro Station located not very far.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms, a very good continental breakfast, a car-park (to pay extra - 30Eur daily), but most of all friendly, helpful, and attentive staff.
The hotel has also a very good restaurant.

Definitely recommended

This is our second time at this hotel . We understand due to Covid there are certain restrictions but we can’t understand why the liquid soap is taken away in a time when it would make more sense to have it. I also understand why the bar area is closed but I think people should be made aware of this before they book. Also when checked in I asked if any day don’t need room cleaning do I leave thing on door and he said no tell us. So I said fair enough. He put a note on computer saying I didn’t want hotel cleaning whole stay. I had to keep going to reception to request my room to be cleaned down to two days being missed . Also I think that the fact there was a building site right outside my window and they were starting working outside at 7 am making noise I should also of been made aware of this before I paid . Apart from this room was comfortable as always . I really don’t want to leave this review but I feel the hotel needs to be aware of where it’s gone wrong because we didn’t enjoy our time there as much as we did last time .

I have stayed at this hotel before and appreciate the excellent location and the decent rooms for the price, the a/c, the sockets on each side of the bed, the multi socket cube on the desk, the large TV screen (if you can get a remote control that actually works) and the large walk-in shower. There are no toiletries which is to be expected in an Ibis and I had brought my own.

What I really missed was having a mini fridge. They have vending machines where you can buy cold drinks but it would be better to have a fridge in the room and that's really the only thing missing especially as it's on the expensive side for an Ibis.

I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the absolute chaos at reception in the morning with people checking in, people checking out, people wanting to leave their luggage in the luggage room and people wanting to retrieve their luggage from the same luggage room, everyone screaming at each other and the staff completely overrun.

Amidst all this chaos one person stood out, Simona, who told me she had worked in the market before and managed to keep her calm and bring some order into this chaos but it's disgraceful that management doesn't put an extra member of staff on duty in the morning at the weekend.

The other person who was great was Bernie from the Philippines who changed my remote control as it wasn't working, brought me an extra pillow then when I changed rooms came to fold up the extra sofa bed so I would have more space.

And one more thing, as a Platinum Accor member I got a drink voucher and had a glass of white wine which was almost undrinkable which is also a disgrace when you have so many cheap Italian wines, they don't need to take the worst one for their loyal members.

Room given by the hotel’s front staff was on the 7th floor of the central wing and the two lifts servicing the wing were also faulty during check in. No significant resolution was given while the staff offered to switch my room to the 4th floor and advised to access via the stairs, which made no difference. In the end, three heavy luggages of more than 60kg were carried up to my room with the stairs and it is ridiculous.

We stayed at IBIS Milano Centro for 4 nights in July 2019. As a family with young kids, we were quite happy at IBIS. Hotel is modern and well taken care of. If I had to pass some suggestions however I would say that they need to do something about ants in the room, as our room was invaded with ants and we had no food in the room. Perhaps the previous guests had food?!
As written in previous reviews, the reception area does get busy with plenty of people checking in at the same time. Even breakfast - too busy. It is a really big hotel and although employees are always working their heart out to serve customers, it always seems as if there are never enough staff.
Hats off to the employees as they really do their best. The reception staff were even really helpful in suggesting trips and restaurants for us, and explaining our way around the city.
Price-wise it was worth the money we paid and I do recommend the hotel and its dining options.

15 minutes walk from the central rail station and close to all the amenities and connections you need. This hotel, although rated 3 star, bats well above that rating. Good modern rooms, clean and well serviced. Very good reception staff, both helpful and attentive and certainly complimented by the excellent bar staff that catered for our welcome pre dinner drinks! Enjoyed one dinner in the restaurant on arrival and couldn’t have enjoyed the ravioli any more! Breakfast was well worth the money - the bacon is local and very tasty! For a shirt break this place suited us very well. You don’t need to over spend on a short break! Plenty of good and varied restaurants and bars all within minutes of the Ibis. Try out the old tram and speak to the locals - they are friendly and don’t bite!

Stayed here 04/09/22 - 06/09/22 and it seemed most people were here for 2 night stays. As we were on an early morning flight we arrived at the hotel about 3 hours before check in but they were happy to keep our bags in a locked room whilst we went into the city.

Staff were very helpful and spoke multiple languages English, Spanish ect

Room was on the smaller side and basic but does the job if you’re out and about all day like we were.

We were up and awake early on both mornings as we wanted to make the most of our stay in Milan, however if you are planning to sleep in be sure to put the do not disturb hanger on your door as the room cleaners tend to come quite early.
