The hotel is situated near to central station. Less than 5 minutes walk and the room is clean. A good stay for transit to airport. Breakfast starts at 7am howver the choice is limited. The front desk and staff are friendly. A good choice for the hotel who is near to central station with affordable price. Highly recommended.
Close proximity to Milan Centrale Station which was why we chose it but so close that you hear the Metro running all day and night. Air conditioning was a feature we wanted but be warned November with high temps is considered winter season and it doesn’t run. Bathroom facility poor, unfortunately would not recommend.
We have to pass one night in Milan en route to the Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci and then pour Florence. We have chosen this nice hotel due to its vicinity to the main train station. Well I am handicapped and got frightened when I saw no path to my scooter. Big mistake : two kind men from the reception quickly put a ramp over the stairs which stayed during our,too short, sojourn. In addition they kept a part of our luggage until our coming back from Florence a week later If you look for nice, central and full of hospitality- Auriga (in Latin charioteer) will bring you there. Grazie
The hotel has a beautiful entrance, the receptionists were polite, but the room left something to be desired. For the location, I don't think it's bad situated, but I don't usually have problems walking either. Overall, for the price of the room (149,40€ for two nights), it's okay.
I went several times through the reviews and I struggle to understand how the rating could be so high. The only good thing is the position, very close to the central station and comfortable for managing business trips. However many other places share the same. The welcome gave already a sign of what to come, slightly rude person and indicating the minimum necessary and then telling to check in the room for further info when asked simple questions like how did it work with the WiFi. The room, next to the lift, beside being a bit noisy because of the latter and extremely small (hard bed included), didn’t even have hot water!! When calling to ask for support, they said someone was sent to the heating room to take care of it but nothing changed. Last but not least the breakfast. Quite good overall (I mean, we are in Italy), but very poor choice and mostly taken from the supermarket next door. Surely never back. …
My wife and I loved the Auriga Hotel in Milan - so close to the Milan Central Station, it has a wonderful old world charm. A fabulous room at a very reasonable price, it was so comfortable and had character unlike other places we've seen. The breakfast was extraordinary - while Europeans might like simple coffee and pastries - this was a veritable banquet, with so many delicacies to choose from!
We chose this primarily because of its close proximity to Milano Centrale train station, since we had an early morning departure. It's a fine, reasonably priced option--a bit dated, but charming in a "period piece" sort of way. The staff was accommodating, if not particularly warm in their welcome (aside from the bartender, who was quite affable). The room was comfortably large, with a good sized bath and closet; drawbacks were a hard bed and a safe that we couldn't get unlocked. The breakfast choices were good--breads, hard-boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, coffees and teas. The neighborhood is primarily business, so if you're touring Milan this might not be for you. But for closeness to trains that are part of the national/international network (and the Malpensa Express to MXP) this is a very good choice.…
Right opposite Central station (no need for a taxi......just cross the square), this small hotel is clean and comfortable. Beautiful furniture and furnishings, comfortable beds and an excellent continental breakfast. No restaurant, but good quality small plate snacks available if you are hungry. Good quality restaurants nearby and easy access to hop on hop off bus opposite the railway station.
This is an old but very well kept hotel. The rooms are spacious and beds are great. Came here with our 2 kids and got the interconnected rooms. So 2 rooms with both king size beds in them. Location is central as well. Parking about 1 block away. Breakfast included
I have a great experience here. Initially my room was a single room with a cozy interior, however the room itself has WiFi issue, where I can't even connect the WiFi using my smartphone nor laptop. After made some complain, they managed to switch my room to a bigger one (well, consider an upgrade for me). The room is large for a single person, and now the WiFi is working perfectly!
