I had stayed here twice before and returned with my wife...we arrrived from Malpensa airport on the bus around 3.00pm...5 minute walk..excellent reception and we had lovely room on the top floor. We went to the Brera museum and then had wonderful dinner at Alba D'Oro, an easy walk away. Reception very pleasant in the morning and again a 5...

I booked a double room although I was alone, and was glad, as single rooms seem to be very small. Unfortunately mine was on level -1, looking onto a courtyard, so it was gloomy and it was not possible to see whether it was sunny outside. There were only see-through curtains and the rod to control the shutter-blind was missing,...

I stayed here 3 nights in september 2011. The receptionists were friendly and fairly efficient upon check in. The room was not very big, but still very functional with good beds that gave me good sleep. It was clean and well kept in general. The breakfast was also surprisingly good by italian standards, and I was pleased with the choice...

Stayed here one night when I had to overnight near the train station. I would stay here again. My room was clean and roomy by Italy standards, with an updated modern bathroom. The night manager, Liviu, was the best. He was very friendly and helpful with all my requests. This place is much better than Hotel New York just a...

I was on my own and wanted somewhere near the station...I could not have been happier..the gentleman at reception in the evening was very helpful about booking a restaurant and the man in the morning was very helpful on advise on getting around on the subway. And he allowed me to keep my room a little longer. Room not large...

This hotel may be conveniently located but look for another! The rooms are hot, noisy and cramped and the staff is cranky. They would not let us use the air conditioner or give us a fan. It was miserable.

This hotel is in a very convenient location right next to Milan's central train station. In fact there is a subway exit a few metres from the hotel. The hotel staff are quite professional and helpful. I was a little annoyed however at their attempt to haggle over what the additional cost of a cot would be. It was as...

I stayed here with two good friends for the Monza F1 Grand Prix in September 09. The hotel is only a few yards from the Central station and has plenty good cafes and bars around to be a good base for a great weekend in Milan. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly, and as previous posts have said,...

Considering that Milan is definitely not a cheap destination, I was very happy to have stayed at the Augustus and have paid a reasonable price per night. The staff was professional and friendly, my room was super clean, modern, not very roomy but very functional. Steps away from the metro, many cafés and restaurants in the area too so no...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
