Great stay in Milan! The hotel has a classic charm on the exterior with a very modern feel and look in the inside. Room was amazing! Wood touches, marble bathroom with shower and a bathtub. Acqua di Parma amenities. Spa, gym and pool facilities are amazing! Had a very relaxing time (Shiseido products are used) . What can I say about the breakfast? It was the best breakfast that we've experienced in sometime now! A lot of variety a really big spread! Rafaella was our server and she was amazing as well as all the others. It's definitely an oasis in the middle of the city and adjacent to the Milano Centrale station. Really really recommend it!
This hotel is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Europe. Everything, from the room size, the hotel location, the breakfast products, to the great service we received from every member of the staff. Everyone was super courteous and friendly, always willing to help. The breakfast staff was the greatest. They are always attentive, willing to help and very worried that you are 100% satisfied. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and everything was very well maintained. We had to call maintenance to unclog the bathroom sink and were impressed with the speed and effectiveness of the hotel staff. Location-wise, it’s a little far from the city center. It’s right next door to the Central Station, but it’s about 30 minutes walk to the Duomo and the Castello. You can always rent one of the electric scooters parked around the station. We used them to move around and it was a great experience. I highly recommend to go to the top floor and have some drinks or snacks on the hotel rooftop bar/restaurant. We didn’t have dinner, but went up for drinks and it was a great experience.…
This was the best experience I've ever had at a Marriott as a Bonvoy Elite member. The staff went above and beyond to make my anniversary trip feel special and memorable. Special thank you to Daniel, Chiarra, and Domenico! We were fortunate enough to stay in a Signature Suite and it blew us away. The breakfast buffet is delicious and should not be missed. Also make sure to take advantage of all the great amenities- my partner was able to spend an hour in the golf simulator and had a great time! The Himalayan salt room is very relaxing and we loved the heated chairs! Thank you to the entire Excelsior team for an unforgettable stay!
I had an excellent stay at the Gallia Hotel Milan and I highly recommend this place. A big thank you to Daniel S for the breakfast who provided a very good welcome and to the whole team Thank you for the reception, they insured everything, we were delighted. We had great experience with the concierge office, we were a great help! This hotel is perfect because it is close to all the main attractions. we will definitely come back! Thank you for everything! Cheers Amadou thiaw
We had a 2 night stay in Milan at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia. We had stayed at this hotel in 2018 and I had said then this was the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. I am happy to say that 4 years later my original assessment is confirmed. From the moment you walk into the lobby every aspect of this property is impeccable. They upgraded us to a suite without even having to ask (same treatment in 2018). The room was spectacular with a huge bathroom, lots of storage and great beds and pillows. Our Platinum welcome gift was a bottle of wine with a container of the best tasting parmesan cheese we ever had and some honey and breadsticks. Just awesome. The breakfast buffet was incredible as well. Excellent selection and quality. The price per night at this hotel was expensive. I think it was 950 Euro for 2 nights. But all the hotels in Europe on this trip were high priced compared to pre-pandemic. But if you have the budget to even splurge on one hotel on your trip I would suggest splurging on this one, it is just amazing. If I could give it 6 stars I would.…
Spectacular! When you walk in the hotel; it is hard not to be amazed. It screams luxury even down to the tiniest of details. All the staff is very kind and helpful. The bar on the top floor has an amazing view of the city and good food & drinks. The breakfast is delicious. I could go on and on. We will most definitely be back.
A friend and I booked this wonderful hotel in Milan to celebrate my birthday in February. The concierge was brilliant on our arrival day and arranged our day trip to St Moritz, Switzerland from the train station literally opposite the hotel. Perfect location to travel a few minutes into Milan or anywhere in Italy from the Central train station. An hour bus ride from here takes you to either Milan Airport. On my birthday we were surprised with Prosecco and birthday card and fruits. Really thoughtful staff! Thank you for making my birthday so lovely!
This is an older hotel that has been completely refitted with a modern interior. It's clean, cool and the people who there were extremely professional. The bar on the roof was really very lovely place to have a drink at the end of the day - the service was very good and friendly. The restaurant was also very fine - the veal Milanese for two was excellent and could feed a village! The only slight negative is the location about a 25 min walk to the Duomo but it is right across the street from the main train station which makes it real easy if traveling by rail.
We have been VERY fortunate in life to stay at some of the great hotels in the world. As for those in Europe, this one rates EXTREMELY high on our list. Superb Service everywhere in the hotel. A beautiful lobby and exquisite restaurant. But the suite was borderline absurd. So well appointed, leather furniture, a steam device in the shower, fully automated room, great surround sound audio, on and on. A top 5 buffet in a lovely room with an excellent staff. Also not so bad that we could walk to the train station across the street. This is a grand hotel that should not be mixed.
A group of 8 couples went for 3 nights and nobody was thrilled. Some rooms were “war torn” with ripped headboard fabric, damaged nightstands and stained carpet. More rooms had broken showers. Many couples changed rooms first and second day. Elevators continually made scraping noises. It just wasn’t a good experience and our friend who planned the trip just seemed to get the run around. Not everything was awful but I suggest you go elsewhere.
