Excellent location close to the metro, friendly and helpful staff, clean cozy and big rooms. Breakfast complete and tasty. Recommended. We were 10 and everyone had a good stay. They allow us to pay separate.
We were booked into this hotel as a group of students. Rooms are clean and comfortable, service friendly and efficient, breakfast very nice in a lounge with very Milan modern furniture. In walking distance to the station, with many bars and small foodstores in short walking distance. would come again. also, situated on a quiet corner, with no trams rattling past.
It’s my 4th time staying here and had another good experience. Time to write a review! not only were the rates great (during fashion week, hard to find) but the service was over the top. I had trouble and was super stressed about getting a train ticket out of Milan and Valentina at the front calmly helped me. Graziano also front desk and Emanuele the night person were also very helpful. THEY CARE. Good breakfast, close to the Metro, clean rooms….Hotel Sempione may be only 3 stars but they should be 4 stars. Oh and BTW, I lived in Milan for 7 years, the location can’t be beat.
The location and the view of the building from the outside made us very positive at first, but when we entered our room our mood changed abruptly. Hair on the floor and in the bed, a drain full of hair and dust, dirty accessories in the room, dust and hair under the bed, a sticky fridge (minibar) lined with hair, and a dilapidated and moldy shower... Hotel Sempione makes it possible!!! I've seen half the world and haven't even experienced such things in the deepest heart of Asia and Africa...We're talking about a hotel in the fashion metropolis of Milan!!! We decided to leave the hotel after a short time because these circumstances definitely made an overnight stay impossible!!! We informed the booking platform "Booking.com" of this decision by telephone, whereupon a very friendly lady confirmed the cancellation. Unfortunately, she informed us that the hotel would not waive the cancellation fee of €90 under any circumstances. The pictures I showed the receptionist of the hotel of the "Chamber of Secrets" that we graciously named confirmed our decision even more. He had the arrogance to tell us that it was our decision, our fault, that we booked this hotel!!!... For me, this was intolerable behavior, which I had never experienced before. This incident was immediately reported to the Tourist Office of the City of Milan!!! So if you are looking for a medieval experience in terms of ambience and personal treatment, book Hotel Sempione...…
Great location (walking distance to all main attractions). Staff is really helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back to this hotel. One of the reasons would be an amazing breakfast! Still remember the taste of the real Italian cappuccino and croissant with vanilla cream.
Nice place, professional staff, clean rooms, good prices, delicious food and nice people around me and my family. Good location and near to Stacione Centrale, nearby Metropolitan. This hotel is very good.
Hotel is NOT corona-proof: breakfast room cannot guarantee 1,5m distance, hotel owner does not wear mask INSIDE breakfast room where there are clients, juice machines are touched by all clients and personnel only wears masks when clients are in the same room - thus they can spread germs on surfaces when speaking to eachother in the absence of clients which can afterwards be touched by clients even after applying the disinfecting gel at the entrance of the hotel. Emanuele at the front desk is rude, arrogant and even laughs at clients when they say they can’t sleep in a 28 degrees room - he refused 3 times to lower the AC to a reasonable 24 degrees. The front desk blocks every rooms’ AC until 6 PM and after that only to 26 degrees to prevent usage of electricity. This is because after 6 PM the indoor temperatures start to align with outside temperatures and they still don’t have to use the AC. Pretty funny when you explicitly booked a room WITH airco. The only reason I can think of why they did not fire Emanuele yet is because under Italian social and labour law they would have to pay him too much. Breakfast itself is just utter trash you would not even feed a dog. Fruit from the deep freezer without any taste, orange juice lengthened with water, coffee tastes like your cheapest pack of cigarettes from the earlier Soviet union. Doors and walls are so thin you can hear everything outside your room: TV, shower, toilet flush. They also start cleaning and working in the hotel really early so you lose sleep. Also not sure whether they really clean because I found hairs, dust and even medication from previous guests in my room. Conclusion: management is hungry for money and doesn’t care about offering decent service to his clients nor about customers’ contractual rights for an AC. This is just misleading customers in violation of EU regulations concerning consumer protection and trading practices: advertising airco and letting customers pay for it but denying usage later.…
Good location in Milan, around 15 minutes from the Milan Centrale station and 25 minutes to the Duomo by foot. The hotel staff was very nice staff and everything was clean. The room was big enough for two people with a television, air conditioning and a safe to store our belongings. The room was not much sound proof, but the overall noise was acceptable. Breakfast was good, with bread, some cheese, cold cuts, yogurts, fruits, juice (from a machine) and a nice espresso machine with coffee that you order.
The room was ok and clean. The size of the room was normal. However, the staff was really horrible. They were very rude. We don’t have direct access to our car in the parking and when we ask to go in our car they came with us. We also had to give them back the card of the room each time we leave the hotel. We didn’t give them the card once (as there was no one at the front desk) and they blame us when we came back.
The hotel is on very good location, near station Rpublica for the train and metro. It is very clean, the staff is nice. Some rooms are too small but we are in the top center in Milano, so. But other are quite big. They are very comfortable, in the bathroom there is everything you may need. Nice little hotel in very good region.
