Conveniently located right by Milan Central Station a two night stay turned out to be very enjoyable. Clean, modern and efficient to the point that I was only there 2 nights but the staff remembered my Americano coffee choice ta breakfast. Yes it was clean and the rooms were well appointed and fairly spacious. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well equipped. The bed was reasonable in size and I slept well. Breakfast was continental but quite varied with some delicious pastries. Not much more to say apart from the disappointment of Tottenham losing at the San Siro.......
Location excellent next to the central station. Good transport from thete. The room was small. No closet. Very clean. Staff very kindv and helpfull.. very good breakfast. Very good wi fi connection. Reasonable price for the location. No kettle in the room
This is the second time I stayed overnight in this hotel, which is in a great location for taking the metro to the Duomo and catching the bus to Malpensa Airport. I appreciated that Sergio, at the desk, was adept at multitasking in dealing with guests, the bathroom was first class, and the breakfast was better than any I had in pricier hotels.(A shout out for hot tea and a choice of flavors).
Hotel room very small but 1 night okay. The front desk very nice. Didnt know the taxi required 120.00 euro in cash. The flight was at 6 am so no bus earlier to catch flight. He dragged me to a ATM to get cash. The hotel should have told me this taxi only wanted cash. Far from Duomo 30 min walk use the metro.
Very close to the station this hotel has an old world charm yet, in our room at least, everything was new, clean and working. (I didn’t try the tv or wifi.) Our room on the 5th floor was very spacious with plenty of bench space. The bed was comfortable and there was no traffic noise. We slept like a dream. Breakfast was ok and they were very busy but still friendly. Checkin was very efficient with room keys preprogrammed with the room number. Why don’t all hotels do this? It’s a great system. I would definitely recommend Hotel Flora.
The positives are that everything worked well, the staff at front desk really helpful, good breakfast and the hotel is a few minutes from Milan Central station, also nice restaurants nearby. On the negative side is my room was really small, like the end of a corridor , bathroom also small and I think I was hugely overcharged for my stay. The question always is, will I stay there again? Yes, definitely, but not at that price. I also have problem with tv only showing Italian programmes, we travellers would like a few English channels, please
The ideal place to stay if you are travelling by train and are visiting Milan. Head left out of the station and diagonally across the piazza you will see the hotel sign on the right of the street. Reception was efficient, and our first floor room was quiet and comfortable, with a useful double door separating the bedroom from the corridor. The room looked recently re-decorated, the air con efficient and although the room is small the storage is good, and the fridge a bonus. Breakfast is included in the reasonable room rate and is has a generous selection of cereals, breads and pastries. Beware the rather overly efficient, humourless, (and officious!), member of staff i/c the breakfast room, as mentioned in several reviews!
This location is conveniently located "spitting distance" from the train station and metro. This was the third time we lodged here and standards have remained high for this class of hotel. Staff, especially, Roberto working the night desk, was both 24/7 and nice and professional. Rooms are tight but adequate. The continental breakfast is fine except for the hard boiled eggs which, consistently, are overcooked with green yolks, dry and tasteless. Also, the television available, over 100 channels, is exclusively Italian language, Why not at least some channels in other languages? Most other hotels provide at least four other languages. Is this not only fair to quests coming from all over the world? Last, not caused by Hotel Flora, there is presently a large construction project next door, providing noise and an early wake up even on weekends. In summary, recommended.…
Very close to central train station, good check in staff(9/13/21). Roberto and Karim were great. Housekeeping was good especially Banda. Continental Breakfast lady was very efficient although haughty and biased, We didn’t appreciate her selective attitude to certain customers- needs more training on respective all customers equally.
The hotel and room were very convenient to the train station and that is why we booked. It was very nice to only have to walk a few minutes to get to the train. Everything else is pretty far but we knew that beforehand. The rooms were nice and comfortable, a bit loud sometimes, but nothing bad a night. However, when we went to get breakfast, the female who was making the coffee and in charge of the breakfast room was not very kind. She got upset at us when we threw our trash away, I believe we put it in the wrong bin so that is our fault. But she could have said it nicer. She also was very kind of everyone else in the room when they left. However, when my sister and I left the breakfast area we grabbed two extra juices for our friend who was in the shower and could not come down for breakfast. The female proceeded to yell at us for taking too many juices, and when we tried to give them back, told us just to take them. But tomorrow we are not allowed any juice. Thankfully we were just there one night. Overall, it was good for one night near the train station. But don’t offer people a breakfast with your room, then get upset at you when you take the breakfast.…
