Old dusty dirty horror of a place. Was moldy immediately started with the allergies. Staff isn't friendly. Bed was flat like there is bed sheet and box spring. We didn't want to stay as it was not healthy. They still charged the cancellation and robbed us for 100 euros. Stay away from this place don't waste time money and don't...

friendly staff, small breakfast. Near the walking street and 2 min walk from the metro. Very good for a short stay. a good idea when you have specific things to do in Milan and your plan is not to spend much time at the hotel

-Stained duvet, dusty telephone, rusty faucet and shower. Light switches are dirty. Not soundproof walls, I even need to kindly knock on the door of the next room at 2am to be able to get some sleep. +The old man in the reception was extremely helpful and kind though. The location was good and very near to a number of...

The hotel staff were nice and very helpful. They helped us check-in by Noon, and much more. The hotel location is cental and close (walking distance) to many attractions. Good value for the money. The elevator works, but may need attention once oin a while.

The guy at the front is nice enough, but the 1 person room was absolutely tiny, as well as the bathroom. The bed slanted to the left, so you feel like you're about roll off. The shower door fell off as I was using it. Don't go!

I booked this central hotel for 2 night stay in Milan. As Milan is currently hosting Expo hotel prices have gone thru the roof so Hotel Giulio Cesare seemed a good choice. The hotel is very centrally located 10 min walk to Duomo and 5 mins to the Castello. Located in a quiet side street - you are assured of...

This hotel had average rooms (small but adequate) but was located in the heart of historic Milan. The price was excellent for the location. I would stay again. It is located near Castello Sforzesco on a quiet side street. Considering the busy city center, we had no problems with noise.

I was in Milan on business and decided to stay the weekend on my own money, so I changed hotels to the Giulio for 2 nights. I wanted somewhere cheap so this was perfect and the location is amazing just off the Via Dante. My single room was tiny but adequate, it was clean, yes there were some mould stains...

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
