My husband and I just stayed at Hotel Bristol for 7 nights since we arrived at Milan via train from Venice and we also wanted a central location for easy travel to various areas, including Malpensa airport. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is just a few mins’ walk to the Milano Centrale station and about 7 mins’ walk to the bus stop for the bus to Malpensa airport. We stayed in a triple room as we wanted more space for the room. Our allocated room has a small living area and the bedroom is separate. The room is clean and the space is very good for us. The staff are also friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and we will stay at Hotel Bristol again when we are in Milan.
The hotel is rated as 4-star but is 3-star at most. The rooms are small and barely acceptable for a modern business hotel in the 21st century. More like a hotel from the 1970s-- no blow drier, small overused towels, old phone, small TV, tiny beds. I would give this hotel two thumbs down!
Clean rooms, dated but clean, large bathroom! Staff was very kind, lent us umbrellas for the day. Breakfast was my favorite, food selection was great and fresh. Loved that they made bacon and eggs fresh for you. Was the perfect location too, right next to the train station.
Great location, 3 minutes walk from Milan's main rail station, and about 7 minutes to the Malpensa Airport shuttle bus stop which is behind the station. Rooms are comfortable though rather dated, bathroom is spacious and well-lit ,equipped with a bidet, and a shower whose controls were a bit too exotic for me. Reception staff were helpful, and the 10 Euro breakfast is great value for money, they make fried eggs to order even though it's billed as a continental breakfast .
I choose Bristol based an previous reviews and its location, just 2 mins away from Milan Centrale, as I planned several trips to the Lakes (40-50 mins away by direct train). Very accommodating staff who upgraded me to a better room after the initial proved unsuitable. Big room and bathroom and housekeeping staff keep it so clean. A great range of options for breakfast, best in Italy so far. Shout out to Ali who was always so cheerful and customer oriented.
This is my 5th stay at that lovely place. Now thats how hotels should be, starting from the easy booking process, the perfect location, the warm welcome upon arrival and the excellent service they provided. The room is spacious, very clean, the bathroom is also spacious and has a jacuzzi and shower jets too. The breakfast was very delicious and the fresh juice was particularly nice. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. The receptionists were exceptionally helpful in choosing the best way to enjoy Milan, they made our vacation even better. I would always choose hotel bristol to stay in milan
Location is brilliant if you are using Central Station for arriving / leaving Milan. Short subway ride to centre of town. Reasonable mid-tier eating places nearby. Rooms were comfortable and desk service good. Rooms could do with better lighting.
Just across Milano Centrale train station, therefore, a gate to the city of Milan thru the metro and to practically to Italy by train. Fully equipped room complete with jacuzzi bath. Good ac in the room. Efficient and helpful staff. Basic Italian Beakfast with fried eggs and bacon on order. Would return to this hotel when in Milan.
I stayed here for 3 nights with my brother. The hotel was fantastically situated for the train station. I didn’t really need to use the front desk staff so can’t comment too much about them but they were friendly when I checked in and out. As a constructive comment an offer of a map of Milan or recommendations on check in for restaurants would add to the experience. The staff on duty at breakfast were friendly. Breakfast was simple. Not sure if they offer any cooked items to order. but the buffet was adequate. My room was pleasant and comfortable and was cleaned brilliantly. Overall I would stay here again.
Good point 1. Location - You can find it easily from the train station and it took just less than 5 minutes on foot. 2. Some front desk men were very friendly and kind. 3. The room is clean. Bad points 1. The sink does not work well. It was already a bit clogged up when I checked in. 2. Compared to other hotels, the staff in the breakfast room was too late, so had to skip coffee as he didn't come to me until I finish my breakfast. 3. They gave me the room number when I arrived at the hotel in the morning, and suddenly changed it when I returned for check-in a couple of hours later. It never happened in any other hotels 'without any reasoning', so I had to ask them the reason from my side. Only one front desk man 'could' tell me that the previously arranged room was a smocking room. I couldn't believe his excuse because he did not look honest due to some reasons, and I read some description on other booking site that their rooms are non-smocking. Although he was correct, their mistake on very simple points(either smocking or non-smocking?) could not be imagined in the same level as hotel Bristol. …
