very relaxed stay in central milano, very friendly staff, quiet rooms, good and healthy breakfast, large rooms, located only a few minutes away from scala, duomo and further interesting sites in ancient milano
I stayed at the Antica Locanda del Mercanti for three nights in March of 2018. The staff was fantastic, recommending restaurants and making reservations for us before we arrived.
The rooms are large, each uniquely furnished, with large bathrooms and fantastic water pressure(!).
I cannot speak more highly of this fabulous hotel and their wonderful staff.
The hotel is tucked away in a quiet little street in a location perfect for exploring the sights, sounds and cuisine of Milan.
Our room was just lovely, beautifully appointed with divine...More
I stayed here Jan 12-14, 2018 and loved it! The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and even let me choose my room (I chose #32, Dei Corbezzoli). The weather was unseasonably warm and sunny for January, so I got to enjoy some prosecco on the...More

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the
view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
