Stylistic and well appointed hotel in a great location. 4-night stay was comfortable and enjoyable but nothing overly exceptional. Room - 5th floor interior courtyard room was quiet and spacious with a good bed. closet was extremely small almost useless. Bath was good with rain shower head no issues with cleanliness of room bath or hotel Staff - Front desk was a weak spot. Arrived 5pm and no doorman available to assist with baggage. evening front desk staff were adequate but lacking personality and welcome was luke-warm (not what you want after 18 hour travel day). Day front desk a little better. Breakfast and Bar staff were great. attentive, warm, welcoming from morning coffee to mid-day espresso and good aperitivo service. Breakfast service was great along with food choices. Overall - I would not hesitate to stay at Senato Hotel again but would look for a more unique upscale hotel next trip to Milan…
The hotel is nicely designed and the location is perfect. Good Italian breakfast. The service is a little uneven at times, but most of the staff members are very professional and friendly. I usually stay here on business trips, but enjoyed bringing the family.
A very nicely designed boutique hotel next to the Fashion District. Short walk to Metro station, or about 15 minutes walk to the Duomo. Staff was friendly, the breakfast buffet has a good selection of food. The chef, Laura, prepared a wonderful dinner for us. It was a real treat. The bathroom in the room, which we were given at check-in had a bathtub/shower. Unfortunately, due to its design and cleanability it had quite a bit of unsightly mold. When we complained, the staff quickly provided us with a new room, which had a clean shower stall. It appears that the emphasis of the hotel was on design, but lacks some practical considerations for the rooms. There is no place for soap and personal items next to the sink. Lots of two-way light switches, but no way of knowing what they control. Labeling would be good. If you travel with large suitcases (and stay for few days), as we did, you will have difficulty to place them, unless you unpack everything into the closet.…
This hotel is everything I wanted....excellent location (walk to Duomo and all the good shopping), chic lobby and room plus great service. Claudio at the desk was warm, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a wonderful selection and nice service. We enjoyed sitting outside in the garden for breakfast and the rooftop in the evening for a drink. I will stay here on my next visit.
Truly beautiful, clean and comfortable with great breakfast options. Cafe was outstanding as were the nibbles they serve with drinks. Toiletries were quite good, wish I had saved some for the hotels we stayed in after this one. I'd stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Senato - convenient to local sights and restaurants, wonderful cafe and staff, beautiful room, and great breakfast. The staff was helpful with all of our needs. Highly recommended!
--DECOR: This hotel has immaculate decor--the lighting, colors, and design are so tasteful. I loved the gold flourishes. Both the room and the common rooms of this hotel are very inviting and picture-worthy. --ROOM: The room was cool and cozy. I loved the heated towel racks in the bathroom. The toiletries were the best that I have ever smelled--out of any hotel anywhere. Wow--I still think about them sometimes. The kettle in the room was fast, and I have even tried to get the same one in the US (but no luck). There was a small desk in the room which was useful to do some writing. Rooms in Italy were very small--at times feeling like a closet, but this one was spacious. --STAFF: Although I was traveling alone, the staff were very friendly and helpful. --LOCATION: It is a bit of a walk to downtown Milan but not bad. I enjoyed staying a bit away because it was quiet. --BREAKFAST: Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious--I especially enjoyed the pineapple juice and dried fruits. This is a very luxurious hotel. If you want fashionable decor and a delicious breakfast--plus considerate staff, then stay at the Senato Milano.…
The Senato Caffè is a wonderful place. Their food quality and presentation is as impressive as their impeccable service. Simone, the cameriere, is most courteous and professional. Can’t wait to visit again.
All was terrible I couldnt sleep , rest , had to re packed! Not a single person apologized to my kid or husband showing lack of respect or humbleness, only to me because I came down really worried and bother to the front desk This is even worst! The treatment we received as a family after this.. They were the ones who were showering when all happened’ and not even a we are sorry! Please Things got wet.. please see the video attached… It was really unacceptable to have a situation like this in a hotel like senato I am aware accidents happen, but basic things like this should be anticipated before happens to guests Additionally, my experience with the front desk woman yesterday was not nice I wasn't addressed nicely by her when I asked her something So far this stay (not my first) has been not a positive one Also, breakfast experience (food choices too basic, not like before) I really hope the hotel treats un nicely with a conscious attitude after this incident.. which clearly we didnt expect or deserve especially being with a kid Regards…
We stayed at Senato for a night on our way out of Italy, and it was such a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, affordable and extremely chic. The rooms were spotless, and the location was an easy walk to the Duomo & other attractions. We could even see it from our balcony. The gentlemen at the front desk were so helpful and recommended an amazing restaurant right down the street. I can't wait to come back for a longer stay!
