An incredible location to explore this area of Piedmont. There is a small parking area inside the gated hotel to accommodate 3-4 cars with additional parking available next door. Unfortunately the front grounds look worn and could use some tender loving care. This was late June/early July so possibly the heat had affected the grass and shrubs. Walking into the...

Our one-week stay in Hotel Castello di Villa was lovely and I can recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a relaxing break. The hotel itself is situated in Isola d’Asti, high up on one of the neighboring hillsides near the old quaint town of Asti. The hotel building was originally a large villa that has been beautifully restored to...

Was booked in here for 2 nights on a business trip to the area. The hotel is run by a Swiss hotel group and is the only hotel they own outside Switzerland. Many of the guests were Swiss. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food on the first night was cooked by one of the managers and was truly outstanding...

We were very lucky to be part of a wedding that was celebrated here. Our room 104 was huge and featured a terrace with wonderful views of the valley below. The staff are incredible . Extremely friendly and always there to help you. The food was just like you'd expect Italian food to taste like . Just great ! There...

A small villa set in the hills between Asti and Alba in Piemonte, Italy. Run by Swiss Paul Muller and his fantastic friendly and service minded staff. They make you feel right at home here in this secluded Castillo. Food and wine is brilliant, rooms fabulous and so are the prices. This years Piemonte favourite for sure.

All prior reviews are true: still the same carelessness with the passports, room and supper menu overpriced. A warm welcome indeed, help with the luggage. The location is stunning, rooms are very nice, especially the ones with a terrace. It's a 4 star "chabby chic" landhouse, not a 4 star hotel. Dog and cat running around, a bit sloppy here and...

On Arrival we were greeted by Rosa assistant Manager, she was warm and friendly, we were given assistance with our bags and proceeded to check-in, our passports were handed to Rosa and we did not see them for another 3 days, our friends spotted our passports on the desk not locked for safe keeping, we found this a little disconcerting!!...

We are touring around Piedmont and have found many lovely places. The stay here was nice, but value for money was not what it should have been :( I don't mind paying for a great place, but would think twice before visiting again.

It is difficult as a top contributor to be objective when other reviews have been so complimentary.A new lift has been installed to all floors but the housekeeping was only of a acceptable standard. The Manager was friendly but clearly the hotel ,part of a Swiss company attracted mainly Swiss Germans and in the rooms there was no English translation on...

We stayed here for a week in August 2012. Attractive old mansion in the residential village of Villa, up a steep hill from Isola di Asti. Location stunning, looking out over the Piedmont hills. Small hotel, part of a Swiss owned chain, catering mainly to Swiss Germans. Room comfortable (all the rooms are individually furnished and vary in size, we...
