This B & B is a real find. It is exceptionally clean, has large rooms with private bath and the use of a kitchenette. It is located on a hill overlooking Lago d‘Orta and is beautifully landscaped, including clusters of fabulous roses. There is a patio for relaxation and where breakfast is served. There is also parking. Sonia, the proprietress, is gracious and extremely helpful. She prepares delicious and copious breakfasts and is knowledgeable about local attractions in the area. It is a short drive to the town of Orta San Giulio where shops and restaurants are located. We stayed at La Florida for a week and hope to return.
Even though the Bed is very comfortable, and the Breakfast is delicious and of great variety (including home-made cakes), this place goes way beyond the desription Bed-and-Breakfast. It is a peaceful-as-can-be retreat with an entrancing view over the lake, and on good days Monte Rosa is visible on the horizon, and we were so happy just sitting in the shade on the terrace for hours on end. It is almost like an apartment, as each of the two rooms has its own private bathroom (with a very nice shower), use of a small communal kitchen and refrigerator and washing machine. It has its private access to the lake (not from the property but from the road, but really close) with stone stairs into the water for taking a swim in privacy. And private parking. We enjoyed the great hospitality of the hostess, and her excellent advice about restaurants - thank you so much, Sonia!…
A two-room bed and breakfast which is as peaceful as you could imagine and with a lovely view over Lake Orta. The owner Sonia is warm and attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Her B&B is by far the cleanest I've ever stayed in! Our bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable, with a separate private bathroom down the hall. Breakfast is a large spread and Sonia took the time to check what we would like the day before as well as give us a few tips and a map for sightseeing. There is a beach just down the hill as well as great trails for runners (including a hike up to an old tower), and Orta San Giulio is a short hop away by car. All in all a lovely romantic and relaxing spot which is incidentally also good value given the location!
Very convenient short stopover, on the south end of the lake, raised up above the road so no traffic noise. Super clean, lovely views over the lake. Breakfast on the terrace in front of the room. There is a nice private beach just below, 60metres walk. Charming and very helpful landlady. Bathroom was not ensuite but was exclusive for our use.
Nice B&B close to Orta. The owner is a really nice lady; she volontary helped us with the baby while we were eating here delicious breakfast.
