Wonderful campsite with full facilities right on the lakeside.

We couldn’t book as we were staying for less than a week so we took a chance and had a great welcome and we’re offered a choice of two lakeside pitches. The one we chose was right on the lake edge and could not have been better as the toilet/shower/washing facilities were all close by. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a small shop on site with a lovely little cafe.

For a calm and relaxing holiday this is definitely the place to go.

Orta San Giulio is a bit of a trek, there may be public transport but we couldn’t find it but it is well worth the walk to spend a day in the beautiful old town.

Nice camping where we stayed since family was over there. It can be a long way up to your place from the street or the beach. Tractor service to take your caravan up and down is very convenient and they handle everything with great care. Restaurant and bar ok. So 4 stars overall if you don’t mind climbing ‘the hill’ several times a day. If not, it still is 3 stars. We however rate it 4 stars.

A fantastic camp site! Great facilities and very close to the lake. Well stocked shop & bar. The restaurant next door (Bocciolo) is amazing! The site is on tiers so that most pitches have a view of the lake. The higher you go the more peaceful it is. We stayed when it was particularly hot and there was plenty of shade to keep cool. A short walk to a local pasticceria and slightly longer to Orta San Giulio but worth the effort! A great place to stay and we will definitely return.

Stayed here June 2023. WOW!! What a place!!. Superb location and campsite. Only site we prebooked on advice. Allowed to swap pitch on arrival. Allocated one was higher with superb views but no shade which was essential. Staff really friendly and helpful and special mention to staff in the bar who froze our ice packs. Essential given the weather. Conad Supermarket just down the road. Brilliant area to either simply walk the lake which is OUT OF THIS WORLD or drive into the hills for hiking. STUNNING. Highly recommended. Thanks Again.

The operators of this site are dishonest. We specifically requested a yellow pitch (where we had stayed before) and were allocated a green pitch. This is not acceptable. I am now spending my leisure time facing a road instead of a lake. Why anyone would choose to pay to stay in one of these pitches I really don't know. The site should have made it clear that the category of pitch (we specifically stated the range of pitch numbers) we required was not available and that they were offering an alternative - particularly as we booked many months in advance (as before).

Beautiful spot for the camper van literally right next to the lake - lovely views, very very helpful staff. Good little restaurant, great Pizza of course. The only downside was constant traffic noise. It was ok in the night but during daytime it wasn't fun

Stayed here two nights in early October 2012, no problem just turning up and had lakes side position - just lovely looking out across the lake. If busier there was a second row and in summer lots more space. Shower block all good and shop and office across the road. Touring part of site is lake side much of the rest is across the road and up the hill. We noticed a a tunnel under the road but never needed it as the road was quiet. Great locaation form which to visit Orta San Giulio - just do it, absolutely amazingly beautiful place - two days ideal minimum. We also walked up the hill and took the train into Milan for the day, 2 hours from here with one change, enjoyable trip and Milan easy to see Duomo and shopping in a day, one tube ride from train station. Campsite lady kindly let us leave motorhome behind there office that day FOC as we were off in the evening.

We had been touring italy for 8 weeks in a campervan when we stumbled on this treasure. Our pitch was right by the lake with steps into it by our door. Chocolate box pretty. Even warm enough for a swim (chilly but just had to do it). Facilities spotless and plentyfull, receptionist could't do enough and was a font of local knowledge. Underpass from lakeside to main site on opposite side of a busy road is the perfect solution. Outstanding place for those in search of some quality r&r and romantics. :-)

We stayed for 2 nights during a weeks' tour of the lakes, having driven down from London. Our time in Orta was the highlight of the trip - the lake is so quiet and lovely for swimming, the town (which is easily walking distance from the campsite) is very charming, and waking up on the shores of the lake was the icing on the cake. We won't forget our trip to Orta and certainly camping felt like the best way to experience it.

"A place on the lake can be reserved for a slightly greater cost than the sites behind, well worth it though. The cabins are all beautiful."
