They say position is everything so that would make this quirky hotel just that. Right in the main piazza where you can see the lake from your balcony – albeit at an angle. Our room was very large, with modest furniture, some weird lighting and a couple of seats. One seat is a denim bean bag. The bed was very...

This hotel has a number of clear up and downsides. To start with the positives, the location on the main square is second to none. The breakfast is furthermore very extensive for Italian standards and the rooms are spacious, clean and have an OK design. There are also a number of negatives. Because it is on the main square, it...

Fantastic breakfast spread - cakes, charcuterie, cheeses, fresh eggs for omelettes, breads and lots of lovely fresh fruit. This type of breakfast is a rarity in Italy so it stood out during our trip. The hotel itself is comfortable, with a great location and several odd design quirks which may annoy some. We had a big room with a balcony...

If you want a stay to remember this would be a place, no single detail in a room would be like in a ‘hotel’. We loved #707 on the 4th floor with its weird transparent showers and an in-room fountain. Breakfast is an experience in itself, highly recommended for travelers in this beautiful city of Orta

The rooms are big and each room is designed differently. We wanted to book ahead to choose what seemed to us like the best room, but couldn't reach them either by email or phone (the phone number seemed disconnected, and they didn't respond to email). The mystery continued when we arrived in Orta San Giulio - the booking desk isn't...

Overrated, overestimated and overpriced. I was waken up at 5 am by the people in the room just above my head and although they were not especially noisy I could hear the "zip" of the suitcases and the noise of their every steps. Very poor finishes and very cheap design: already decrepit tiles and a bad need of a fresh...

The hotel is located in a beautiful town. Rooms are clean and different. Full of nice details. Hotel emplacement is amazing. Superb breakfast. Wifi only on the entrance which is also really nice. "Free parking" is about 15minutes walking.. althought you can stop for a while in front of the hotel for the luggage. It's ideal for holidays.. maybe not...

Lovely hotel in a beautiful little town. Staff/service and location faultless. Rooms are quirky and characteristic. We had "That's Amore" which overlooked the square. We did (as other people who have posted) flood the room from the open shower. However my girlfriend was to blame as she put the shower mat over the plug hole! Breakfast was plentiful and eclectic,...

Location couldn't be better. Fabulous views of the lake, island and town square. Amazing breakfasts and extremely helpful staff. Showers very quirky, but good and hot. Comfortable bed and all spotlessly clean.

Hotel Aracoeli is a great place to stay in the Italian Lakes. We also travelled to Lake Como but found that a bit too big and touristy for our liking and we enjoyed Lake Orta much more. We had a top floor room with a balcony overlooking the square with a view of the lake. The best time to enjoy...
