We enjoyed our three night stay here. First, it's right off the main piazza in the middle of the modicum of action there is to be found here. Second it's right on the lake. We're glad we paid a little more for a lake view...More

Orta San Guilio is a beautiful place. Old village, chapels hill and San Guilio island are just unique. The hotel is on the water with direct view on the island. Renovation has taken place and bathrooms are great. Rooms are extremely small and the restaurant...More

The first item that stands out when considering getting a hotel is location. You could not pick a better location in Orta San Giulio than the location of Hotel Leon d’Oro. It is direct lakefront, yet also right on the Piazza Motta- the center of...More

I hate writing negative reviews. It just seems wrong, but our experience here is worthy of criticism. First off, the hotel. It's hard to beat the location; in the center of car-less Orta S. Giulio, directly on the waterfront facing the beautiful Isola d'Orta. On...More

No you can ask at the bar for tea & coffee but you might have to pay unless it's at breakfast time. No fridge in the rooms either. We had the suite and still no extra facilities like this. Lovely hotel though 👍🏼
