The check in was seamless and friendly and the person on the desk always had our room key in hand to present to us when we returned from our days out. Very efficient. The bathroom was clean, but we did have a bit of a problem with our shower which didn't seem to fully switch from the rain shower to the hand held attachment, with water basically spurting everywhere [but it did the job].
Breakfast was included, but don't be surprised that the milk for the cereal is kept behind the bar and not on the serving table. The food was varied and buffet style.
The hotel is a little way from the centre, and don't be tempted just to walk, as the Metro is only a few minutes walk away and the bus services are efficient and easy to use via Google Maps. We bought a 3 days Metro/Bus pass which cost less than £10.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it for your stay should you be visiting Turin any time soon. - Thank you.
I asked for a quiet too when I booked but was given a room on the third floor facing corso Massimo and the traffic noise was quite loud, even at night (windows are double glazed but not soundproof). At check out I mentioned this issue and was told I should have asked for quiet room, which I did . Staff was generally polite but not really interested .
Their green eco policy is half and half (plastic cover for the glass and paper cups in the bathroom , recycling bin in the room)
We may give it another try as the location was convenient for us.
Overall a good place
The gym (24/7) is very well equipped (5 endurance machines from Technogym, 2-3 machines, dumbbells, balls etc.), but small. Therefore, quotas are also applied, i.e. you have to reserve a time slot as in corona times. There is also a spa (a small blubber bath) but we did not use it. Also the breakfast
We didn't like the service. The (young) people at the reception were nice, but apparently the arrangements between them did not work so well, so we had to follow up on the bill several times at the end (where overnight another 13 coffees were added to the bill for 9 euros and were also debited from the credit card, very strange).
It's just a busy activity there at the reception and people come/go.
Our conclusion:
- Beautiful hotel with spacious apartments, albeit a bit remote, but quiet
- well-equipped gym
- Kitchen use needs some preparation or purchases at the beginning
- Service with potential to increase
The stay was excellent! The hotel was above and beyond our expectations, comfortable, spacious.
Special praise to reception staff from whom we received exceptional service, courteous, efficient, professional and full of goodwill, special thanks to the charming Marco, it is difficult to describe in words the level of service we received from him
amazing Alice who took care of the culinary side for us.
The hotel parking suited our needs, the breakfast was excellent although it lacked vegetables and was a little lacking in variety.
In the small suite there was a slight unpleasant smell of cigarettes mixed with the smell of sewage, in the large suite facing the street there was a little noise from the street.
"Get a bicycle from the hotel. Very easy to get around with, also to restaurants in the evening"Read full review
"Get a Metro pass for the days you are in town - a lot easier than having to pay separately for each trip. Very cheap."Read full review
