The hotel is just a 5-7 minute walk to town, around the corner from the cable car, and an easy walk to the bus and train stations. The rooms are well-appointed and quiet. (They do not supply a robe though.) The breakfast was lovely and the staff was helpful. It was nice but not knock-your-socks-off. Recommend visiting this town after...

Well-appointed, large room. Conveniently located within walking distance of all points in Bolzano's city center. Five-minute walk to the gondola with sweeping views of vineyards and the Dolomites. Reliable, included Wi-Fi. Elevator. Good, included breakfast. Five euro taxi ride from train station. We would stay at this hotel if our travels took us back to Bolzano.

We stayed in September and rented a nice room. Room was renovated and modern, was a good size for two, had a nice bathroom (one sink) and had air conditioning. Our first room faced a building that was very close, so we asked to switch and were given one facing the main road which had a small balcony. Despite being...

Received a good welcome from very pleasant staff in reception. Hotel is in central location. The pool is surrounded by a lovely garden/courtyard. Large modern bedroom, and despite being situated on main street, was very quiet. Good variety of food at breakfast and again very friendly staff

The room was generously sized, location great right next to the cable car. Pool area lovely and breakfast was fantastic. Lost a star only because wait staff at breakfast were so very rude. We met an old friend by complete coincidence from Australia and wanted to join their table but were met with "nein" shouted very loudly and so stood...

Great hotel. Comfortable, clean and the front desk staff is extremely friendly. The courtyard is beautiful and a great place to have breakfast. The breakfast is very good, with a wide variety and good service. To order breakfast is available upon request. Our breakfast was included in the room, which was booked by the bike tour company. I recommend this...

Behind the classic century old facade and above the mostly original lobby the Stiegl has modern rooms with quality furnishings and fittings. There is a glass-walled dining room that looks out to a garden eating area with lush lawns trees and a very large swimming pool where guests can relax with a drink in deck chairs on hot afternoons. It...

My kind of hotel. Modern, spacious rooms, big bathroom. Outdoor swimming pool. Buffet breakfast which can be taken inside or out. Close to the cable car and town centre. We did not have any issues but the reception staff could have been a tad friendlier.

Bolzano is a relatively small, so it is hard to be located "far from the center", but this place is just about perfect: 5 min walk from the train station, 3 min walk from the cable car that will take you up for hiking or skiing (depending on time of the year), 5 min from what they call "center" with...

A lovely garden and pool, comfortable beds, a nice breakfast, and overall nice facilities were marred by a few less than friendly staff and a broken elevator. Three of us got in the elevator without luggage, went nowhere, and had difficulty prying the doors open. The alarm we rang went unanswered. Finally we pried the doors open, to find the...
