We were traveling with another couple and the owner gave us rooms right across the hallway from each other. The rooms are nicely appointed and the pool area with outdoor seating is lovely. Breakfast is very nice with custom-ordered eggs available. We even had car trouble and the owner helped us by finding a service center that he knew. The...

This is a beautiful hotel run by a really nice family. Everything is spotless, the rooms are large (ours had a nice balcony), the breakfast is delicious, and the location is tough to beat (10 minute walk to town center). The area is quiet and the rolladen shutters allow you to darken the room to meet your preference. They have...

Two couples stayed here for one night in Sept. 2016. We were driving around this part of Italy and found ourselves in Merano late in the afternoon and happened upon the Hotel Windsor. A very helpful young man at the desk showed us available rooms and we were very pleased and fortunate to pick two spacious, comfortable rooms. Later we...

We stayed at this hotel for two. Ights as part of our honeymoon. Our room overlooked the beautiful courtyard and swimming pool with an outdoor balcony. The hotel staff was very friendly and dealt with the parking of our rental car free of charge. Breakfast each day was delicious! Merano is beautiful and the hotel was located near the river,...

We booked in here just for the one night before walking the Merano Hohenweg. Impeccably clean and staff very friendly. The owner/manager really looked after us and helped us out with any questions. A nice place to stay as just 10 mins walk to centre.

A short 10-minute walk from the medieval town center, near to everything, this boutique hotel has nicely sized, comfortable rooms (in the higher than standard category). The owners serve excellent breakfast with a good selection of fresh bakery, meat, cheese, and fruit products. The small bar for espresso and drinks is open daily until 10 PM. We liked our first...

First things first: it is a family-run hotel in a beautiful building, the location is very good, only about a 5-minute walk downtown, along a beautiful river promenade. The rooms are quite small, at least the one we had, but very nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. BUT: while the fact that it is family-run can be very charming, it...

We stayed at Windsor for a week. A lovely property turned into hotel, very close to the center and train station/ bus stops as well. Owners were welcoming and always pleasant, Klaus particularly so and very knowledgeable about mountain walks. What did we do during that week: 1.Visited Castel Trautmanndorf and Botanical garden –il sentiero di Sissi di Merano. 2.Tappeiner...

We had a great holiday in this lovely hotel staying for ten nights mid July. It's really well situated - about 10 minutes walk from the train station and roughly the same along the riverside promenade to the beautiful old town of Merano. In addition bus stops for the 'must see' Merano 2000 and Trautmannsdorff gardens are round the corner. The...

This is our 5th stay in as many years and every it gets better. This a lovely hotel run by the nicest family you could hope for. Service is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. Location is superb, just a few minutes walk to town and also in the other direction to the bus and train station.
