My partner and I spent two nights in December at the refugio. It is a modern mountain hut in a beautiful location and accessible after an easy hike. Our twin room was comfortable and clean and the meals were superb, especially considering all the food is airlifted in by helicopter. In winter there is great snowshoeing and ski-touring on the...

We had a private room, which probably contributed to how much we liked the place. The showers were also good, which is not true of some of the other huts. Meals were better than most huts as well with at least a bit of protein for breakfast.

This was a great place to stay with clean rooms, a small portion of hot water and good food in ample portions. We were in a room with 3 sets of bunks and our roommates were a bit older, like us. We managed the showers but like others have said, it's a short bit of hot water--ok if you're just...

Rifugio Bonatti is on the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) and was my night stop on my recent hike of the TMB. The Refuge is a modern design and was rather comfortable and very clean and organized. I was assigned to a room of about 20 single beds (not bunk beds) which was well designed. Bathroom facilities are standard/adequate although...

As the other reviewers have already described, this is a great refuge - very clean, spacious dorm, delicious food and very friendly, helpful staff. I tried to take a shower and the water was ice cold. I went to reception and was told that there was occasionally a problem with one or another shower not putting out hot water. They...

Rating Bonatti isn't like typically rating hotels on Trip Advisor - you have to have different expectations going into the experience. Having a great time at Bonatti isn't about excellent showers and a fancy room, but a comfortable bed in a clean space and a really special community experience. I stayed in the biggest dorm, but it was quite spacious...

During our TMB, we wanted to experience one night in a mountain hut, so our guide booked us in the Bonatti. I cannot confirm this statement since we only stayed in this one hut, but other hikers told us it is the nicest hut on the TMB. We had a large enough group that we were able to reserve the...

Our first experience with dormitory sleeping. Not my first choice, but it turned out to be just fine. For all the people going in and out of here this place is very well run and efficient. The level of cleanliness in bathrooms is remarkable. You get one coin for the shower so you must take military shower. Get wet, turn...

When I arrived at the refuge on Sept. 2, 2016, I did not know that I had a bad infection in a wound on my arm from a fall several days earlier on a leg of the Tour du Mont Blanc hike The staff at the refuge went into action quickly, particularly the female manager, and I was helicoptered off...

Always busy and justifiably popular in a tremendous position with the Alpine scenery all around. The doitour rooms are spacious enough not to feel claustrophobic, clean and bright. The evening meal was good with a varied menu and solid breakfast. Watch the showers and heed the notice or you can end soaped up but only cold water left.
