We spent a w-end in this lovely hotel. The room was really nice, overlooking the canal , equipped with furnitures in typical Venice style. The Break-fast was good but served in a quite small room, without any view. The service was really good and we could take the taxi boat directly from the wharf of the hotel. Fantastic!

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 February 2017

For business I had the chance to come here several times. Every time was perfect and the rooms really well equipped and beautiful. If you have the chance to get a room at the last floor the view is amazing (see picture enclosed). Very nice staff and great location. The price during low season is quite affordable.

Our first time to Venice and most definitely won't be our last! This hotel is a perfect base away from the hustle and bustle of the main square yet only a 10 minute walk to the main attractions ( as long as you don't get lost but f you don't then you haven't truly experienced this amazing city!). We had...

This is a lovely historic building and close to the main attractions in Venice. The staff all speak English and were very helpful throughout our stay. The room we stayed in was of an unusual layout and had lots of character. We were on the canal side of the hotel which can be a little noisy but offered a great...

This hotel has fantastic history and strategically located in Old Venice. The accommodations are rich in culture and local significance. Breakfast in the morning and bar available at night. The staff is friendly and the front desk can direct you to tours that leave from the hotel. It is hard to navigate Venice, so make sure to take advantage of...

Dear Guest, thank you very much for your review; it's nice to read that our Hotel and its services have been apprecitated. Our concierge is able to organize several tours and excursions, walking tours or boat tours; also, don't forget to organize your transfer service for a comfortable arrival directly to the Hotel pier, avoiding confusion and saving energy! My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Ruzzini Palace Hotel (we stayed February 8th-12th). I booked the trip 3 months in advance with Trivago/Amoma to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. I based my choice on reading other reviews so my expectations were pretty high. We arrived via Marco Polo airport and the Alilaguna...

The hotel was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The only tip I would give people is a 'tourist tax' that caught us off guard. Dear Guest, thank you for your review and excellent Hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the city tax is not our decision: it's 4,50 per person, per day (1 Euro ???) and it's marked on all reservations and web sites. When you book a room you should be informed from your TRAVEL AGENT OR WEB SITE. It's not our...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
