This is a gorgeous B&B right in the heart of San Marco. The owners are extremely helpful in providing information on sights and good restaurants. The rooms have been renovated beautifully to allow for modern amenities with classic Venetian touches. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

The 3C is a great B&B and close to everything. It's a couple of minutes walk from the boat docks and less than five minutes to St. Mark's Square. We arrived late and Fabio waited for us. He was very pleasant and provided tons of information. We took his advice on several restaurants and were not disappointed. The rooms were... More

We booked direct with the owners and this was a simple process. When we arrived we couldnt get in and i started to panic. I emailed the owner who came within 15 minutes and let us into the room. The room was lovely but too warm so we asked for aircon and the owner obliged. The beds were comfy with... More

This bed & breakfast is comfortable, quiet, and lovely. The location is great near San Marco and 1/2 block from the vaporetto stop for San Marco on the main line #1. So it's really convenient. Gelato is also nearby, as are good restaurants. Host is gracious with lots of good information. He recommends his wife's B&B more, but, by luck,... More

This small B&B offers great value for money in a city where accommodation costs can be crippling. The staff were friendly and spoke perfect English. They offered us a map and marked many suggestions for things to do and places to eat which were all outstanding. The only time we had a bad meal was when we didn't follow the... More

As other reviews testify, this is a wonderful place to stay 4-star quality bedrooms in a tiny secluded and ultra-friendly place just off a little back alley ( DO NOT!!!!! LET THAT PUT YOU OFF!!!) and just a 2 ( not 5) minute walk from St Mark's Square/ Doges Palace. The rooms are truly beautiful, enormous hand built beds! Rooms... More

One advantage of staying in the middle of everything is being able to get out in the morning before the crowds, take a break when needed, catch a vaporetto to anywhere, and go out in the evening when the big crowds are gone. That's one thing we liked about staying at the B&B 3C. We also loved the great breakfast,... More

3C B&B was the best B&B we stayed at in our 3 weeks in Italy. The room was clean, with coffee, tea, refrigerator, and AC provided. The bathroom was outstanding: great shower, heated floors, heated towel bars and very modern. It was roomy and extremely clean - great sheets! Breakfast was cereals, fruit, bread, eggs, yogurt, juices, coffee, etc. Fabio... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2016. It is in a great location, steps from St Marks Square. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good. Room was a decent size. Private bathroom. We would stay here again.

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
