We stayed in this hotel in mid September. It was hard to find, even with the map provided by the hotel. However, I think most hotels in Venice are probably hard to find. The hotel was good for what we paid. The room was a lot bigger than what I had expected, very clean with a very comfortable bed. The...

This was one of the largest rooms we had in Europe, very clean and we liked the location. We did watch the video on you tube, which was helpful. The staff was nice and helpful...one thing that did make us mad was we were told the best way to get to the hotel with luggage was to hire a private...

Great location; 10 minutes stroll to the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco; and many other attractions. It really was an ideal starting point for our daily excursions. Despite some reviews, it was very easy to find thanks to clear instructions on Youtube; plus the hotel provided a useful map. Our room (206) was very spacious, clean, had a good...

Staying here made our trip to Venice perfect. Our room was large and lovely, breakfasts were good, and the staff very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is situated perfectly, between Rialto (easy walk from the vaporetto stop) and San Marco, overlooking a (relatively) quiet campo, where you can have coffee and snacks, or a fine dining experience at one of...

Small B&B in a good position to walk to most sights. Set in an old house with an imposing frontage onto to a square but with an entrance round the corner that is easy to miss. The U tube instructions are very helpful if you arrive by water bus (Rialto) but a water taxi drops you very close Staff could...

The luxurious room i have ever stayed for that price. Everything was excellent and in order. Rooms are spacious, quality is like a 4-5 star hotel. Location is a little bit complicated (venezia 101-every location is complicated in venice). Lovely staff.

An awesome place to stay. The rooms were large, the bathroom was very clean and the staff was very nice. Definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Italy. The location was just a short jog from the Rialto Bridge. We arrived around midnight to Venice and somehow stumbed right to the hotel after several twists and...

It's not easy to find the entrance to this hotel, off a little alley, but it's definitely worth the trouble. We stayed in one of their "suites" (actually a very big room) and it was exactly as pictured on their website - spacious, elegant and comfortable. It had a view over a typical Venetian square but wth the windows closed...

The hotel cancelled a booking whitout any advice. When you call them, they are just rude and do not want to give their real names even if they know yours. I do not know about the rooms, but fore sure you have to be really careful when booking whith those guys... they cannot be trust. It is a shame because...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
