An exceptional hotel in an ok location with a great breakfast. We had a 2 level room, with our teenagers upstairs. Loved this, as did they. They had a vanity and toilet and main bath downstairs. The beds were comfortable and the Tv had many channels and was interesting to scroll through. The location is tricky to get to via ferry, if you can (we didn’t should have) book a private taxi boat, aside we caught local ferry at €9.50 a person for 3 stops which were close and was expensiv. We were hit with €30+ ‘hotel tax’ a day also. The food was great and a nice little restaurant. Is a walking city and this hotel is not near anything of note so walking is needed. But is in a lovely spot and you walk out onto waterZ. Heating was broken and had to be reset and didn’t really work for the money spent this was slightly frustrating as was very cold first night especially and thin bedding. Pillows lumpy and need replacing. Towels were quite thin and need replacing. We would stay again though is a great hotel. Lastly the staff. They just look so unhappy and disinterested. The lady in dining room aside she was friendly. But front of counter staff - smile and be friendly please !!

Hotel's Favourite
Palazzo Veneziano. Beautiful right sized hotel on the waterfront Giudecca Canal. Big enough to have staff cover your needs, small enough to feel cozy, with an interior open air courtyard to relax in. Kept immaculately clean, beds and room cleaning excellent. Staff is very friendly, outrageously competent, and slightly more formal than a visitor from the States might be used to. But it’s nice to treated like that, as opposed to hearing “the 5 things you must say to a customer” from some corporate 3 hour training session. In particular I enjoyed the staff at the breakfast buffet, a group of young folk who are polite, friendly, and who hustle steadily without appearing harried. I was also very impressed with the front desk staff, patient, informative, and efficient. I had the pleasure of chatting with Julian, a very urbane gentleman, with a subtle sense of humor. Full disclosure; I’m a retired airline pilot and I’ve traveled quite a bit. This is the first time I’ve ever felt strongly enough about a lodging to write a review. The Palazzo Veneziano is a fabulous place to stay in Venice.

Dear BillBoeing, We are glad that you've enjoyed our interior design, which is a mixture between modern elements and Venetian tradition. Your approval for our services is a big compliment and as well motivation to continuosly try to improve those. Friendliness and Kindness is the most important element of our services and the basis to make our guest feel welcome. The "Best breakfast ever" is one aspect of our hotel we put extra emphasis on to distinguish ourselves, so we are glad that you've enjoyed that to the fullest. We hope to see you soon again! Best Wishes, Omar Anoè

Our first hotel on our Italy trip and it really got things started on the right foot. Modern, clean with a can't be beat location. The location allowed us to be slightly away from the more crowded areas while still being close enough to explore Venice. We splurged on a canal view room and it was lovely and immaculately clean. We also got the breakfast package and it was a great way to fuel up for the day. Would definitely recommend to anyone taking a trip to Venice.

Dear Aknovack, Thank you for sharing your experience with the TripAdvisor community. Palazzo Veneziano is situated in Dorsoduro district and therefore off the beaten paths in a rather residential area but still attached to the main attractions. We are glad you've enjoyed our interior design, which is a mixture between modern elements and Venetian tradition. Thank you for pointing out the cleanliness of the room and the quality of the breakfast! We hope to have the possibility to see you soon again. Best regards, Omar Anoè Front Desk Agent

This hotel was terrific. Our room was very nice and exactly as described. Breakfast was out of this world delicious. We so much enjoyed chatting with the staff. My husband has been studying for six months learning the Italian language and staff members went above and beyond to have conversations with him. Julian was absolutely fabulous as was other staff members we encountered. The front desk staff gave us great recommendations and directions. They made us feel special. They arranged for transportation for us and assisted with luggage. The location isn’t in the tourist areas but is a short walk or water bus ride. We loved being in a quieter area. Thanks for a wonderful stay! The Wyndhams

We stayed 3 nights in the ‘economy’ room which was really lovely. Wouldn’t describe the room as small at all, just a normal hotel room sized and a really nice sized shower room. Buffet breakfast was awesome, amazing selection of food and always got a table even when it was busy. Really enjoyed the hotel’s location, right on the water front but in a less busy area of the city which we preferred as was nice and quiet. Some lovely bars and restaurants just two minutes walk down the water front which would also recommend. Finally, staff were really friendly and very efficient. Overall can’t think of a single fault with our stay!!

Great hotel. Great location. Exceptional service. Small room for the price. And no spa or fitness center. It was Modern which we loved. Right on the water. All staff were super helpful and attentive and responded to all my emails and questions in a timely fashion. Bar and lounge are lovely.

Palazzo Veneziano was our first stop in Italy and was a great start to a 3 week Italian visit. The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and great showers. The desk staff were simply excellent and helped walk us through a couple travel related issues and recommended a few very good restaurants. I would recommend them to anyone

Stayed 3 comfortable nights. The included buffet breakfast is wonderful, including made to order omelettes. However, only available at 0730h or later. No clock in the room, so wake-up call was by request. Worked fine on first 2 mornings, but on the 3rd morning when we needed the call to ensure we would catch our plane, the call never came (luckily, we woke up in time). Property is obscurely located on the promenade facing the Giudecca Canal, between the San Basilio and Zaterre vaporetto stops. However, once inside the courtyard, one is impressed with the major quality renovation done 5 years ago. There is limited choice of restaurants within easy walking distance.

Dear margarita Calgary, First of all, thank you for having chosen Palazzo Veneziano for your stay - we really appreciate that. Your opinion and suggestion are very important for us to improve our services and facilities. We took a good note about your suggestion to have a clock inside the room as sometime with the automatic wake up call technology doesen't help :( We are glad you pointed out the style of the building totally renovated 5 years ago and its forniture's quality. Looking forward to welcoming once again in Venice! Regards, Omar Anoè Front Desk Agent

Really loved this hotel; great location and lovely room. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and they have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were very helpful. The courtyard and reception area made good social areas. We loved the area outside on the canal side and loved walking around the area.
