Nice stylish hotel. More like a palace! Historical interiors, furniture, good soundproofing and very helpful staff! Thank you very much Olga for your help and responsiveness! convenient location. off the tourist trails. You feel like a native of Venice. the hotel is located right by the canal, so it will take you to the door of the hotel.

We much enjoyed a four night stay in the Nani Mocenigo. Its location is excellent, on a quiet Dorsoduro canal, opposite the San Trovaso church (currently wrapped for maintenance) and a short walk to both the Accademia and Zattere vaporetto stops, three major art museums, the Giudecca and several good restaurants. The hotel is a spectacular modernisation of a 15c palace, successfully blending 21c infrastructure with the original design - and it also offers a garden, unusual in context. Facilities are minimal (no lunch or dinner) and the hotel is thus a beautiful base rather than a destination. Our single room was between small and tiny (literally a bedroom, no chair) but it and its equally small bathroom were well equipped and well designed. (And the hotel map shows most rooms as much larger). Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet with helpful support staff and indoors/outdoors seating options. WiFi was free and easy to access. Staff were all friendly and helpful (we didn’t test them much). Water taxis can stop in front of the hotel and the Alilaguna service comes c. 300 m away. (But book your own taxi - the hotel offfered one from the train station for €160 when the normal online fare is c. €65) We have stayed in ten Venice hotels in over 20 + visits - all were enjoyable but the Nani Mocenigo gets our top rating for its combination of location and design. Highly recommended to experienced Venice visitors.

This absolutely beautiful hotel is in the best location in Venice on a charming canal close to restaurants, music, happy hours, museums and shopping... Beautiful location, beautiful rooms, simple but wonderful breakfast, wonderful staff, fantastic air conditioning (Venice is HOT ! )... I travel extensively and give this hotel the highest AAA+ rating...Out of thousands of hotels in Venice I was very lucky to pick this wonderful home away from home and would highly recommend it...

Our stay was truly wonderful. The front desk personnel were more than accommodating. We arrived early, and were offered breakfast while we waited for our room. The breakfast at this property was fresh, well presented and had expansive choices. Best of all, we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite, which was incredibly lovely and spacious. The property’s location was excellent as well. The water taxi can pull right up to the entrance - which was so convenient unloading and loading luggage! Major attractions and good restaurants are within easy walking distance. When we return to Venice, we will definitely stay here!

Location: The hotel is well situated in a quieter part of Venice in the Dorsoduro neighborhood, but still convenient to an ample choice of restaurants and easily walkable within 15-20 min. to all the classic sites (Rialto Bridge, Doge Palace, etc.). There is a wonderful gelato shop on the corner that served as our go-to place for dessert each night after dinner. And our favorite restaurant in the area was Ristorante Agli Alboretti. We loved it so much that we ate dinner there twice! Because we had heavy luggage, we had wanted to take a private water taxi directly from the airport directly to the hotel, but due to a regatta the day we arrived, only the airport Vaporetto was running. We were a bit concerned about the walk from the Zattera boat dock to the hotel, but it was barely 5 minutes and easy even with the luggage. You can also take the vaporetto from Zattera to P. Roma, which takes about 15-20 minutes. Hotel/rooms: The hotel’s reception area is grand with classic elements of a Venetian palace. The front desk and everyone who worked at the hotel were helpful and professional. We were given an upgraded room that had a separate sitting area (with a TV, sofa, desk) that led to the bedroom suite two steps down (also with a TV) and a separate dressing area. Our elegant guestroom opened onto a giant (and I mean giant) carpeted central area that had approximately 4 other guestrooms also opening onto the space and that was furnished with sofas and tables. Our children’s room was steps away from ours and was spacious with a stair leading directly to the outdoor patio. Breakfast: You can eat breakfast on the patio or indoors. The buffet includes a nice selection of pastries, croissants, nuts, yogurts, fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, etc. and hot items such as eggs, mushrooms, delicious tomatoes with rosemary and other options. Yes, other hotels may offer a wider choice of options, but this buffet had enough to keep all of us satisfied, so no complaints. And everything was fresh and tasty. Bottom line: We would happily stay here again and world recommend the hotel and the Dorsoduro area to anyone that does not want to be trampled by throngs of tourists and ripped off in restaurants with “tourista” menus.

points we liked. Lovely old building and we had a grand room (junior suite) front desk staff helpful. Breakfast was excellent for Italy including healthy choices . points we didn’t like: no guest lounge. no restaurant ( they will tell you they do sushi). very small garden with no bar service available middle of the day. Hotel was expensive but it felt like they were running a minimum service with few staff. not sure how they managed to get a 4-star rating unless serving sushi ticks the box of restaurant and room service. not a bad place to stay but we think there are better local options for the price paid.

We arrived late and we're upgraded to a beautiful 2 room suite and iced champagne! We had a horrendous flying experience and we're delayed by 12 hours and our trip was almost ruined ( American Airlines). Arriving to such a beautiful hotel with this welcome was so appreciated. The staff is very nice. Hotel is lovely, breakfast was a very nice buffet in a pretty setting. Something for everyone. The service was excellent! Loved everything about this hotel right on the canal. When we arrived and left the water taxi pick up is right out the door. Don't hesitate to stay here!

This was an all around excellent hotel. Location - Set along a quiet canal in the Dorsodoro sestieri an away from the mobs of tourists, this hotel has a distinctively neighborhood feel. In the evening, you can expect a nice gathering of locals hanging out at the corner gelato stand or down the street at a wine bar. The area is safe, authentic, quiet, and relaxing. The closet crossing over the Grand Canal is the Accademia bridge which is less than a 10 minute walk; to be precise it only took us 5 minutes. There's a great assortment of neighborhood restaurants and enotecas all within a 10 minute walk. Room - We had the presidential suite on the first floor (2nd floor in USA) and it was beyond spacious for the 3 of us. Richly appointed furnishings as you'd expect for Venice, comfortable bed, painted ceilings, an a large bathroom with separate tub and shower. There is only ONE bathroom in the room. Walking in the room felt like being in a museum. A remarkable experience and felt like you were sleeping in a grand palace...of course with working air conditioning and modern conveniences. Hotel Services and Personnel - The front desk staff were an absolute pleasure to work with an always greeted us with a smile and salutations. The breakfast was ample and always tasty. The two guys working the breakfast run were always available an attentive. Food quality were great and choices plentiful. All around a very good setup and we took advantage of it every morning. We also took advantage of the complimentary Murano tour which was very nice. The hotel also offered a private Grand Canal tour, for a fee, which we also utilized and it was beyond fantastic. The hotel arranged for our transportation from the airport on arrival as well as our transportation to Trieste for a cruise. Overall - We were all extremely pleased with our stay, with the room, with the staff, and with the hotel. An absolute great group of people and made our stay in Venice truly memorable. Thank you so much!

Amazing! When we arrived we were informed that we had a free upgrade to a junior suite. I have been traveling the world for 50 years and this was the best room I have ever stayed in. The hotel offered all kinds of tours. The staff was kind and very knowledgeable. Also convenient. The hotel was a short walk to a vaporetto stop, which made navigation very easy. Can’t miss!

Beautiful setting and very nice coffee and snacks. We were staying in a different hotel, but next time will definitely come here, and were passing by and felt like having a coffee. The hotel from what we saw, is beautiful, spotless and with excellent service. Coffee and biscuits were delicious. Hope to visit again and this time we will stay.
