The team working here tries hard, but its a poor location and is not inviting. Probably get what you pay for.

Good location and easy access to most places. Billa shop is just round the corner - 3 minutes walking, were you can do a lot cheaper shopping than in other local/tourists shops. The hotel itself is cosy and clean. The rooms were quite small but...More

I highly recommend the Al Canal Regio Hotel. I am really surprised to read comments from other travellers who have something negative to say. I stayed at Easter 2011 and just arranged for my parents to stay there at Easter 2012. The staff recognised the...More

My son and I stayed at the Al Canal Regio during our 5 trip to Venice. We both enjoyed this hotel, the great location away from the crowds, the extremely friendly staff (thank you Marco and Michèle) and our great room. We had to leave...More

The Al Canal Regio Hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My daughter and I arrived at 8:30 pm to find our keys laying out on the desk with a note to take our key and go to our room. They said...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Don't know if you can store luggage or not but you can email or call the hotel. They speak good English and are very friendly and accommodating. I hope this is of use to you. Steve T
