What a lovely refreshing change from the norm Venice is and this hotel personifies that. Delighted with our choice to stay here which was wonderful apart from trying to find it in the first place lol. Note to self...ignore phone map and get down to...More
When we arrived, the girl at reception was very friendly, but we were taken to an appartment outside of the hotel. The room was OK, although warm and smelt like someone had been smoking in it (inspite of the the no smoking signs). We were...More
This is a small hotel, about 6 rooms I think and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a peaceful oasis close to the academia bridge and within strolling distance of San Marco. The San Samuelle vaporato stop is a few metres from...More
Small hotel about 6 rooms, 10 min walk to st Marco place , the place is very clean, the personnel is respectful and friendly, always available , small breakfast ( good quality ), the price is fair to Venice, recommend , enjoy staying.
I had a really nice stay at this hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated in the old-Venice style. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I especially loved breakfasts (nice croissants!) in a cozy room with a little garden. The hotel has great location: far...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

The best way is to take a water taxi (eur 15). It will take you straight from the airport to a stop close to the hotel. I forgot the name of the stop, but its easy to find on the internet. Don't take a normal cab. Its far more expensive and you will still need to walk quite some time or take a boat anyway.
