Hostel staff is very friendly and helpful. There are no bedbugs. The location of hostel is OK, quite close to Ca’d’Oro, however, it is difficult to find for the first time. The inconvenient thing for me was inability to connect to internet. I met I guy who was lucky to connect, and he said that the signal was really weak. In the kitchen, there are not enough table spoons and cups, so bring your own. The walls are quite thin, and wooden floors are really old, so one can hear every move of neighbors. Apart from that the hostel is OK.

Venice is a dream to begin with, but staying at this hostel made our experience that much better! First of all, the staff was very helpful and knowledgable. Received some great tips about what to see in Venice! The hostel was very well-located (10 mins away from Santa Lucia station) and a quick walk to all of the action in Venice. Not to mention, it is situated on one of the canals and your walk in/out of the hostel is just breathtaking (as is the rest of Venice). The hostel is enormous! The kitchen is large and the best part is the courtyard, which you can see in the pictures. It is massive! Perfect for sharing meals and enjoying the evening. The rooms were very simple, but nice. We stayed in a 3 bedroom. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was attentive to keeping it that way. The entire hostel has a feel of old meets new that we loved so much. I really recommend this place!

I stayed here in June 2019 and travelled into Venice by train. The hostel is a 10 minute walk from Venezia S.Lucia station and is easily found. Check in was fast and I was shown to my room as opposed to the usual giving the number and having to find it myself, this was a nice touch. I stayed in the 4 bed shared dorm and it was very spacious. The bathroom and shower is shared with a number of other rooms though at no point during my stay was it inaccessible or busy. The hostel is very close to a number of nice restaurants and bars so if you want to go out in the evening you need not go far. I ended up going out with my room mates and a tip for travellers is that there is a small supermarket shop about 5 minutes walk away that sells a number of nice Italian wines considerably cheaper than the bars. We ended up getting a few bottles and drinking it in the courtyard of the hostel which has seating provided. The courtyard has sun on it most of the evening and we were lucky that the weather was lovely. All the sights in Venice are a short walk away and the hostel provided some advice on places to see that most tourists might not know about. I travelled through a lot of Europe and the middle east during my trip and this hostel was the best one I stayed in. It was clean and didn't feel dated. The staff were welcoming and the other guests were more than friendly. I couldn't recommend it enough.

I spent only one night in Venice because of a uni project I am doing and I found a really cheap shared room at the Santa Fosca Hostel. It was a female only 7 beds dorm and it was the first time for me going to an hostel at all, so I have to admit I was a bit worried. Luckily as soon as I got there and I've been welcomed by the director I understood there wasn't any reason to be worried at all. He has been very friendly and gave me the key for both the room and my locker to put my stuff in. The room was nice and clean and the only girl that was in my same room was really friendly as well. There is a common room with tv and tables to eat, a kitchen to use with tea, coffee, some fruit and sauces free to use for everybody. I would definitely recommend this place, really close to the train station and surrounded by the wonderful canals of Venice. The only thing I didn't know and that gave me some problems is that there wasn't any towel provided, but that was probably me not being well informed about hostels in general :)

We stayed here for three nights. The location was amazing. Amazing building and surrounded by lovely little bars. The room was unfortunately not that great. We found a dead scorpion which freaked us out a bit. Also the shower could be cleaner and the pillows renewed. Guy at the reception was very friendly though!

I've been here before and reviewed it a few years ago. I found it has improved since my last visit : there is no longer the midnight curfew or the middle of the day lockout, and the staff were friendlier. As usual, it's a very basic setup being a hostel, but the setting is nice and suggestive and the shared showers, toilets and kitchen were clean. The only thing to warn potential guests about is how hot the rooms are : Venice itself is boiling in summer, and unlike the outside air which cools down during the evening ( and which you can make the mist of by sitting in the courtyard) my room itself didn't cool down despite there being a fan. Overall, recommended, especially for the non summer months. It's run by students who live in the Christian based university residence it is part of, so expect a calm and respectful atmosphere rather than partying and drinking. As a calm seeking atheist that suited me!

This was a lovely hostel. A easy walking distance from any direction to any part of Venice. It was a converted old building of some sort which gave it a lot of character. The staff were very friendly and it was a good place to stay. The lack of air con made it quite hot during the night especially if you are on the bottom bunk. It wasn’€™t party central but Venice isn’t about that vibe.

Stayed only one night here and was very pleased as we were expecting a budget hostel from price compared to other hostels in Venice, it’s located in an idyllic little court yard and very pretty.. slightly off the main hustle and bustle areas but that’s ok as there are lots of quainter and cheaper restaurants and cafes around as a result .. towels available however they cost 3€ and I asked for an iron and they didn’t have one so not sure about other washing facilities. Also we were unable to connect to the WiFi as the name given by reception never came up and the open access WiFi didn’t work at all so had to use our own 3G .. this didn’t particularly phase us but would not be ideal for those travelling from outside EU........

This place is quite cheap considering how close it is the the centre of Venice. The beds were comfy and the place is kept clean. Absolutely loved the garden out the front. WiFi was very poor, in fact could not connect to the WiFi during my stay here as the ‘free WiFi’ did not work at all, and the name of the WiFi given by the receptionist never came up at all on my phone. Even when in the reception area. Besides that, I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return again.

Been there with my boyfriend for three nights during Easter. The staff was really welcoming, I have to thank one of the receptionist for all of the advice that she gave us about the city and restaurants. The room was very clean and with an amazing view of the canal that surrounds the Hostel, the position is really suggestive, there is an old church and a very nice garden where we sunbathed in the afternoon. It is near the station, about 10 minutes by foot, and also near Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. When i'll come back to Venice i'll definitely return to this Hostel!
