This hotel is delightfully situated in a true neighborhood, tucked away off the beaten path, and directly on the Grand Canal. It is about a 3 minute walk from the San Stae #1vapporetto stop. I was in a 'standard' room, traveling solo, and it was fine. The hotel is not luxurious, but very comfortably appointed. Getting out to Rialto is...

Our room for 4 was large, spacious and well maintained. Decorated in a venetian style complete with chandelier. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the bar prices very very reasonable for Venice( 12,50 euros for a bottle of wine), the terrace overlooking the grand canal fantastic to "spend a moment". The breakfast more than adequate with hot bacon...

This was a beautiful hotel in Venice with friendly staff. The rooms were clean, well kept and offered plenty of space. We stayed in a basic room and the bed consisted of two twin beds put together, which was not always the most comfortable, but otherwise the room was great. The breakfast offered many choices including eggs, fresh fruit, pastries,...

We LOVED this hotel! An amazing location right on the Grand Canal, super easy walking distance to the Rialto Bridge and further on to San Marco square, but removed enough to be quiet and away from the hustle and bustle! Very easy to get to from the airport - take the Alilaguna directly from airport to the San Stae (pronounced...

This was our second visit to San Cassiano, and we returned with two grown-up children and wives to celebrate a birthday. We were pleased to find it retains its quiet, personal, friendly efficiency. Rooms are characterful, clean and warm (this was mid-January, with close to zero temperatures outside.) Breakfast is good, served in a room with a view over the...

This is an excellent hotel. My wife and I stayed here during a weekend trip to Venice in January 2013 and we were really pleased. It is in an excellent location – situated on the Grand Canal, about a three minute walk to the nearest vaparetto stop and a five minute walk in the opposite direction to the Rialto. The...

Have just spent 3 nights at this hotel which is in an ideal location not far from the Rialto but in a quiet area near the San Stae water bus stop. We used the Alilaguna boat to and from the airport and this was good value (compared with the private taxis) and efficient. Being an old Palazzo the hotel is...

Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast in a nice room with canal view. The room was medium spacious, the bathroom quite spacious. We visited during last week before Xmas, when the weather was qutie cold. The heating in the bathroom floor was a nice suprise, it was a delightful way to start the day on a...

We stayed in room 322..a quadruple room with stunning canal views~Room was beautiful, large and clean. We felt as if we are staying in a museum room. Every member of the staff was helpful and kind. While the hotel did not have an elevator to haul our luggage up 3 very steep staircases, we didn't really mind as we were...

In trying to reconcile the other reviews here and our experience, the only thing I can come up with is that the excellent staff that others experienced must have been on holiday while we were there and no one else has ever stayed in the rooms we did. If you stay here, insist that they not put you in room...

Dear Sir, we are sorry that you're feeling disappointed about our Hotel, we just want to clarify a couple of things. Room 35 is a very large quadruple superior room that has a low ceiling but this a peculiarity of rooms on the ground floor level in Venice...the bathroom has been recently renovated and if someone's is particulary tall, there's...
