About
Description
In the heart of Venice, in a location that is extremely quiet but close to all the principal attractions of the city, the Hotel Bisanzio occupies an ancient 16th-century palazzo that was once the home ...More and “workshop” of Alessandro Vittoria, one of the most important Venetian sculptors of the 16th century and a student of the great Jacopo Sansovino. A recent, careful restoration has allowed the Hotel Bisanzio to preserve the fascination of an ancient Venetian palazzo that is, today, equipped with every modern amenity, to ensure a relaxing stay in a structure equipped with elevator, air-conditioning, LCD TV and Wi-Fi Internet access. Ease of access is not secondary when talking about Venice, where people almost always get around on foot. The Hotel Bisanzio is perfectly located, just 150 meters from the city's main public transportation stop (San Marco - Zaccaria), where all the lines for the other areas of the city and the adjacent islands arrive and depart. Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri
(districts), and the only one not facing onto the
Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated
within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over
one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side
streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals
criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a

We stayed two nights in one of the apartments, which is located a short walk from the hotel (approx. 2 city blocks). Although it was not fancy, this was one of our best stays during our 2-week trip. There was a private bedroom, bunk bed...More

Great hotel only a short stroll to the waterfront, 5/10 minutes from Piazza San Marco, what could be better? Nice hotel, air con, tea/coffee making available just ask at reception. Good simple breakfast choices, all good quality. Cold meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, cakes, fruit salad,...More

The island of Venice is not what I expected. Concerns over its smelly canals and waterways and the threat of an explosion of people seeking the last throes of summer in Europe were experienced but... Our accommodation, Hotel Bisanzio, our digs for 2 night’s was...More

I only ever stayed in one of the apartments so I can't tell you the answer to your question. They are very responsive so an email to them should get you an answer in a day.

Hi! We were in room 404, the last room on the corridor. The hotel is set back in an alley that leads from Riva di Schiavoni so there are no views as such. It is right behind the Metropole, which does have rooms with a lagoon... More
