The outside of the building hides the absolutely beautiful interior. We had a ground floor apartment with the entry on the side lane way. What a stunning interior. Modern kitchen, beautifully decorated and 2 bathrooms. It was an absolute treat and our receptionist, Jessica was delightful. A short 5 minute walk from San Zahcceria wharf. Simply beautiful.

This is a lovely spacious apartment in a perfect quiet spot only a stonesthrow away from the centre of many vibrant main areas of Venice . From here, it's an easy few minutes walk to St Marks Square, and also only a few minutes away from Rialto Bridge. A great apartment, beautifully decorated and maintained. I would not hesitate to... A great apartment in a fantastic location, a few minutes from StMarks square. Staff were helpful and friendly really went the extra mile, providing a complementary bottle of proseco for my wife's birthday. Apartment ( on ground floor ) spotless and very well equipped, large comfortable bed, two bathrooms great kitchen close to small supermarket for all essentials. All in... More

We spent 3 days here with my family last summer. It was the crown on our 2 weeks of road trip. We left the car outside of Venice. This accommodation cost more (obviously) than other hotels outside of Venice but it definitely worth every penny. It is only 2 minutes walk to St. Mark Square. The view from the hotel... More

Nice apartment, good kitchen, two bathrooms, working Wi-Fi. Location is perfect, a bit off the major touristic attractions, but still close enough. Quiet neighborhood. Just a few hundred meters from the harbor .

We have been very pleased with this place where we stayed for four nights in October 2015. The location is ideal as it is both close from San Marco and landing sites at Ospedale or San Zaccaria, and very calm. We had a one-room studio for three persons, with two bathrooms and a kitchen, located on the ground floor. It... More

This was a super apartment with all the amenities: clean, wifi, comfy bed, large airy rooms, and a staff who really want to help with the experience. The location is on a canal in a mostly local neighborhoodabout 6 blocks walk from San Marco Square. Note that all transport is on foot, expensive private taxi or public water boat with... More

A great apartment hotel. We had two apartments as the 2 bedroom apartment was not available. The ground floor are smaller more dark and a bit stuffy, however it is still very high standard and if wouldn't have the second apartment (on first floor) we probably wouldn't get into this comparison. The staff is very nice and as you know... More

Modern, spacious, well equipped and very clean apartment located in a quiet street but only a short walk to ferry terminals and St Marks etc. The staff were very friendly and devoted to making our stay as pleasant as possible, including the pre-arrival communications and instructions. Only downside was that we did not stay longer.

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
