Well located family run luxury hotel. Professional, experienced, very helpful staff, with good language skills. Clean, very comfortable and quiet. Looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended.

Very nice combinations of venetian style and modernity you find in this hotel. Every room is individual, from size and look. Of course, there are different classes (and rates), and the deluxe-rooms or suite are the best. Great experience of buffet breakfast. Great experience of friendly and helpful staff. For us of the best Hotels in the center of Venice!

As we walked from our pier getting off the water taxi, we only had to walk few hundred yards then the hotel was on our right. The hotel kindly brought up bottle of prosecco for my birthday. Lovely room and facilities, just on Wednesday morning had workers drilling at early hours of the morning and then the sewage today at... More

A lovely stay at a well managed and clean hotel. Staff were exceptional in their service and politeness. Our room was elegant and well appointed. Food at breakfast was fantastic. Only one small moan and that was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room. However, they were available on the corridor.

A haven within paradise. Hotel is situated a few minutes away from the major Venetian sites. Very strategically situated. Besieged by excellent restaurants and upmarket outlets. Room was enormous by Venice hotel standards. Breakfast excellent (and a killer were sweets are concerned) Well kept and tidy. Staff sublime. The Saturnia even has its own water taxi berth in its premises.... More

As hotels go, this was very nice and quite upscale. The rooms were large with all the amenities; it was situated near Piazza San Marcos. What tipped the scales was the excellent concierge service. They changed money for guests at what was the best rate I saw anywhere. Their advice on restaurants was impeccable and they were helpful in any... More

We visited Venice for our tenth wedding anniversary on the 11th November and stayed in this hotel for two nights. The location is excellent, very close to St Marks square and the water bus stop. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We were very touched to receive a bottle of prosecco from the hotel on our... More

I read several reviews written by others and it did not disappoint! The location on San Marco Island is the best. The front desk staff are VERY helpful. Everyone; waiters, bell hops, waitresses, etc are so friendly. Great buffet breakfast, something for everyone.Beautiful charming hotel with beautiful spacious rooms. The rooftop deck is awesome!

Location of the hotel was excellent. Close to the San Marco square, a lot of nice restaurants and most importantly close to a port with ferry to the Marco Polo airport. The breakfast was amazingly good with various meat, fruits, bread and everything one would want for the morning. The rooms could have been better - the bed was not... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
