We stayed just one night at this very welcoming, character filled hotel, located close to St Marks on a street filled with upmarket boutiques, and backing on to a narrow canal.
Andrea, the concierge welcomed us warmly, helped us with tickets for the biennale, offered...More
Very well located. Close to St. Mark's. Close to vaparetto. We stayed here for 5 nights. Breakfasts were good, you could have waffles, pancakes, pastries, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, meat and cheese plate.
This is an old building that has been turned into a hotel. It does have an elevator but majority of rooms are not handicap accessible. The inside restaurant is for winter use all other seasons you use the "garden" - an outdoor courtyard. Decorated nicely...More

I am a bit surprised that you did not appreciate our position, honestly it is the first time that one of our guests does, but I am very sorry that it did not meet your taste.

Hotel with good character and helpful desk and roomservice staff - desk helped me juggle rooms for canalview after a day. Strong restaurant/room service but very expensive relativelg. Missed having no gym (one has access to a gym quite further away in theory). Close eg...More
My husband and I have just returned from 10 days vacation in Italy. We enjoyed 2 nights at the hotel Saturnia and International. The hotel has direct access to one of the canals so our pre booked water taxi dropped us directly at the hotel...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

I would try the Viator App. Lots of good tours and suggestions on there. We did not personally pay for any specific tour in Venice as it is very easy to walk around and see the sights yourself. We did go to the Dodge's Palace on our own and paid 5€ for the ear piece, which we enjoyed. Skip the line passes were not necessary. The line moved quick.

Yes - Ours was a double bed. There are lots of lovely restaurants around. My advice would be to just find one you like the look of. I would advise that you book though - we saw lots of places with quite long queues. Enjoy
