Stayed in Venice several times and visited this hotels fantastic restaurant every time but always thought the hotel looked small and dark, we decided to give it a try after meeting people who recommended it and what a surprise we got. Although the first room...More
Beautiful spacious bathroom in our triple. Room size was good. Not sure how to properly use the air conditioning. We love the common areas of the hotel on each of the floors. Breakfast was wonderful--lots of fresh fruit, sweet watermelon, ripe cantaloupe. Delicious breads, pancakes...More

We had a great stay here. The location is pretty perfect - just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square. But the moment you enter you're away from the hubbub. It's calm and quiet. The staff are helpful. There's a fantastic bar, dark and...More
The hotel is a short walk from St Marks Square, a family run hotel which I found to be delightful. I had a large airy room with a patio to sit out.

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Yes - Ours was a double bed. There are lots of lovely restaurants around. My advice would be to just find one you like the look of. I would advise that you book though - we saw lots of places with quite long queues. Enjoy

They are on he canal and you can get a water taxi but those are very expensive. They are located less than five minutes from the first San Marco vaporetto station (there are two) and you will have only one bridge to cross so depending on the amount of luggage that you have you might want to hire one of the porters that hang around the vaporetto station. So from the San Marco station you would walk straight and turn left. After you cross the bridge, the hotel will be about 100 feet to your right. This would cost you about €7 with a vaporetto ticket if you don't have a day pass which is well worth it. Enjoy your stay in the city.
