My sister and I found this hotel as an excellent place to stay. They have a good price range and Wonderful customer service, we only stayed one night and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was small but cozy and what we enjoy the most we had 2 twins bed, our room was very clean. The hotel...

Small but very central location to walk to St Marks Square. We took the waterbus line 2 7.50€ one way to San Zaccaria stop. Don't forget to validate your ticket before boarding. The nearest stop to walk to the hotel will be Rialto C. We liked the hotel very much because of all the paintings hanging all over the hotel....

We stayed here for two nights in August. The hotel is situated within Venice between the Rialto Bridge and St Marco Square. We were sent specific guidelines on how to get to the hotel in advance - which were spot on. The staff were then excellent throughout our stay - extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was good and the...

My wife & I stayed at this Hotel in Venice for 3 nights prior to getting on our Cruise. The best part was the central location, being half way between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square. Either direction we took was full of great shops and great dining. The Hotel itself was clean and well maintained for its age....

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com and wrote a note that I want a king size or a double bed. Later I send email to Daria( very helpful receptionist) and she told me that she will try her best. But unfortunately the day we arrived she was not at office. A young fella was there who is totally helpless. he...

I am giving this hotel an excellent review because for the price range it is above and beyond. Every staff member that we encountered as friendly and beyond accommodating. Some of the best customer service I have ever seen! Me and my boyfriend stayed for 2 nights, and had a room that had 2 twin beds together and a private...

We stayed here prior to leaving on a cruise. A perfect location, equal distance walk to San Marco or Rialto. This is no cookie cutter, modern chain hotel - unique, renovated building, that is comfortable - air conditioned, plenty of hot water for showers - with nice, well maintained and decorated and clean rooms and attractive art work in all...

The location of this hotel couldn't be better! About a three minute walk to St. Mark's Square in one direction and the Rialto bridge in the other direction. The front desk service is so very friendly and open 24hrs. Also, the wifi is free and they have an excellent complimentary buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel great location to explore Venice. Basic rooms but big and adequate. Breakfast was a great way to start your day. Friendly helpful staff. We found the hotel with no problem. Would recommend to others. Enjoyed a lovely gondola ride for €80 for 30 minutes but was just me and my husband. Would recommend booking on advance the secret...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
