We very much enjoyed the three nights we spent at La Calcina. Our room was simple but clean, large enough, and had everything we needed, including good wi-fi. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great overhead shower. There is no elevator but we...More

We love the La Calcina. We love to arrive by plane, board an Alilaguna boat that takes us from the airport directly to the hotel. It takes a bit of time, but what a stylish way reach the Serenissima, slowing down, enjoying the views. Efficient...More

You can indeed walk quite easily via the Accademia bridge, with a total walking time of 15-20 minutes, assuming you don't allow yourself to get distracted on the way! Vaporetto's are also fairly frequent.
