Can't fault this place at all. The rooms were lovely and made the Venice experience all the better as they were very venetian style. Rooms were also equipped with what looked like at least a 52" TV, although no English channels. We ate dinner one night in the Hotel restaurant and we're massively impressed at the food! Also received a...

Very good price-quality ratio for the offer we got. The room was small but we were only there for sleeping so it didn't bother us too much. Great food at breakfast but we got the same thing every day. Wi-fi was really slow.

The room was not just dirty, but everything in it was broken or rusty. Let me start with the room - we didn't find any double 1 bed rooms available so we booked a twin - this is why we had to pull the two beds together. While moving those we found a lot of dust under the beds, there...

I had to wait for check-in about 10-15 mins because a family before me had some problem. There were 2 staffs at time but I still need to wait. Also, the room was very cold and blanket didn't help at all. Wifi was suck , can't even use Twitter , don't think about watching something. However , Location is very...

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel over New Years Eve 2016 - 30th to the 2nd. Whilst the room itself wasn't amazing, it did and had everything we needed for our base in Venice. Dorsoduro was the perfect place to stay in Venice- 15 min walk from San Marco, loads of restaurants, 10 mins from a supermarket, 5...

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Everything was good except that it was really cold in the rooms and the heater was at it maximum but it wasn't really warm so the room in the evening was really cool. And first night I got into the shower and it was cold water there wasn't hot water which was annoying...

Bad. everyday from the time the Asian receptionist takes place, NO HOT WATER and no shower and no heating. and She (the same receptionist) gave me a misleading advice about how to buy a ticket for the water bus and made me end up paying a 60 euros fine...!

Could not sleep due to water noise from the wall.the beds seemed old and felt like a motel 6 or a two star hotel rather than a 4 star place. We will not be recommending this place to anyone unless they change drastically

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
