Pros: I liked it was near the station. The hotel is cleaned and confortable Cons: The staff could be a little bit more friendly Location: The location is near the train station which is very useful to go to Venice. We arrived on time for check in. The staff gave us useful information.

Locational value for money, given room price, the location in a quiet district of Mestre without tourists but with nearby bar, restaurant, supermarket AND with direct 22 minute bus to Piazzale Roma in Venice. No concerns with the place nor with the very standard room. No elevator. Breakfast not worth it.

The rudest staff I have ever come across in the whole of Europe. Firstly they charge us €60 euros to book the room as a deposit and then when we arrive we pay the full amount €200 and they say we have to wait 20 days to be refunded the €60 deposit. why the hell should we have to wait...

My wife and I spent 5 nights here in June/July of 2014. When we checked in they didn't have our reservation in their 'system' which was a paper ledger on the desk. But we had our receipt from the online reservation. Since we were staying Sunday through Thursday they had open rooms so it was not a problem. The language...

Firstly, we had bad impression even before we arrive at the hotel. We were charged extra on our booking by the hotel without any form of information until we find out and dispute the payment with the bank. Secondly, it was far from train station. Gotto take about 40 minutes bus ride to the Venice island. Thirdly, the neighborhood as...

I have previously stayed at this hotel during May 2005 and found the accommodations good enough to return! Hubs and I stayed here during the end of May 2014 for two nights. We arrived at the Marco Polo airport and took the bus to the train station. From the train station we walked about 15 minutes to the entrance of...

We had the room on the second floor facing the street. In the morning, about 5-6 am, the room sounded like it was next to the freeway. ROAR, ROAR, ROAR. The noise never let up. The owners were not accommodating whatsoever. Because the room was so noisy, we decided to leave after one night. We were supposed to stay two...

I stayed here for 2 nights during the summer and had a horrible time with the management. The room was nice but the wifi never worked, either in the room or in the lobby. The management was rude and the buffet included was not included and they told me to my face it was an error and that I had...

The Al Piccalo Hotel was ok for what we paid, our room was clean and the ensuite looked quite new.The staff didnt speak much english but were friendly enough. Breakfast was continental. We were quite happy for what we paid at this hotel for 2 nights, and would reccommend as long as you dont expect posh and are happy with basic, clean accommodation.
