We stayed for 3 nights in the Arcadia hotel in a superior double room. Nicely decorated, very clean and big shower room. The options for breakfast were very good and would suit all tastes. The neighbourhood is hustle and bustle in a good way with lots of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. The hotel booked us a...

This is a great boutique hotel, the service and attention from all the team was excellent, the rooms are lovely and the whole hotel is immaculate. Well situated but not to close to anywhere noisy. A great base for visiting Venice.

My stay here was absolutely amazing. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating. When needing directions or suggestion on where to go or what to do the staff was always very knowledgeable. I would definitely return. Beautiful hotel. The breakfast was spectacular.

The perfect small hotel from which to enjoy Venice. Easy to find from the bus/train station, in a safe neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Great breakfast including proper espresso and cappuccino. Beautiful room, modern and with all the amenities you could need.

My partner & I spent 3 nights in the Arcadia, to celebrate his 50th birthday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, both before & during our stay. They organised a lovely birthday cake and a complimentary bottle of fizz in the room was a nice suprise. The staff speak excellent English & also gave great restaurant recommendations. Our room...

Was within walking distance from the train station, was easy to find. The hotel itself is quite small, and didn't have a lot of room for luggage in our room. Was nice and modern for Venice, the location was away from the tourist attractions but was an easy walk once you found your way around the streets. Spent 2 nights...

Good morning again Miss Kirsty, As told you the renovation of the restaurant below us was not depending on us (being a different property) and we cannot did a lot about that unfortunately. I am very sorry for this situation even because the workers religiously respected the time frame of the job and they did not use, from time to...

I chose this hotel because of its location near the train station. Easy to get to and the reception was welcoming. We spent 5 days there and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. All staff were exceptionally friendly. I would stay there again.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Arcadia, a splendid, charming residence in the centre of Venice, is delighted to offer you a fine stay in the magical city suspended over the waters of the lagoon. The sophisticated elegance of this small but refined boutique hotel can be seen in its captivating and romantic furnishings, a blend of period and modern, with hints of contemporary color and an atmosphere born of a glorious past. The setting is a splendid 17th century palace that harks back to the magnificent and aristocratic age of bygone Venice, but the atmosphere is one of a welcoming hotel de charme with elegant, refined taste. The result is Hotel Arcadia, a perfect blend of East and West, contemporary color and period details. ... more   less
