Me and my 2 sisters couldn't believe this was a 1 star hotel! We got a double standard room with extra bed, and it was beautiful. We didn't pay for air conditioning, but we got it anyway, perhaps we were upgraded and they forgot to...More

Wow, this hotel and it's family ownership was fantastic. Maurizio the owner, we think, was like our personal concierge, so helpful we couldn't have done Venice without him. The rooms were tastefully decorated, we had a full bath and they were cleaned and maintained impeccably....More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Very central. Great location though I wasn't overwhelmed by the actual hotel. You can easily walk to the Rialto, St Marks Square etc.

Hi can you please tell me if you stayed in a superior room in the main building or the annex? I am trying to see which room is bigger and has a better view as there are 4 of us? Thankyou
