While my wife and I only had two nights here we enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic right of the Grand Canal. It's an easy walk to and from the train or bus station to a very quiet part of town. While the hotel is small and the rooms a bit on the small side as well, it's reasonably priced and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's an easy albeit confusing (it's Venice) walk to St Marks or anywhere else with great little surprises to discover along the way. We were happy to find a laundry right next door which was handy. There are small restaurants, cafes right nearby and the Grand Canal is right there to catch a vaparetto or people watching... I'd stay here again.
I love this hotel. I've stayed there enough times that it feels like coming home when I arrive. The location is perfect--close to Piazzale Roma (the bus/car park) and the train station, but tucked into a quiet corner. It's literally steps from the Grand Canal. This side of the canal is my favorite part of Venice. The staff here is very kind and friendly, the breakfast is substantial, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfy. I've already got a reservation for next spring. Everyone here is very COVID-conscious and doing everything they can to keep us safe. As someone who's just started traveling again after a two-year hiatus, I was very glad to see that.
Three night stay midweek. Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. We were in a room just round the corner. Modern and all the facilities you’d expect. Nice secluded smoking area at the end of the corridor. The hotel is not far from the Uni, so lots of locals and cheaper prices as there are less tourists. We found some lovely areas which seemed off the beaten track even for Venice!
Stayed here 2 night. Private bath. Quiet location close to the Grand Canal. Small quinte boutique hotel. Excellent staff and service. Very reasonable rates, Outstanding breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel. Short walk from Plaza Roma but hire yourself a porter for the little they charge to take your bags to your hotel.
Great location and excellent hosts. We enjoyed our accommodations and the location. An easy walk to all the historical sights. I would highly recommend for families or singles. A quiet location, but only steps to the Grand Canal. I would make this my go to for any time I am in Venice.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Albergo Marin. First, Giacomo and Michaela are excellent host. They put their heart into this great establishment and it shows in all the details. All of the staff and especially Federico were amazing. It’s the perfect location and easy to walk to Saint Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace (even for 2 seniors). The area was quiet and had many great restaurants near-by. I would recommend this hotel and location to anyone and everyone!
This is a perfect little hotel right over the canal from the train station. Perfect location. The staff is amazing! Great breakfast. We stayed in the family room. My room had the shower down the hall but that was fine with me because it had great water pressure and was larger. The kids had their own shower in the room. Great pizza place and laundromat right next door. Loved it. Thanks.
The Marin far exceeded our expectations for this short stay. It is very close to the train station and located near the grand canal. We were warmly welcomed by Giacomo who gave us all the essential information to make the most of our short visit. Breakfast was made to order and delicious and the room was charming. There is also a nice seating area in front of the Marin where we enjoyed chilling out at the end of a long day. I would highly recommend the Marin.
Location is great, near to train station, quiet. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. She gave tips (restaurants, public transport), offered to keep our bags after checkout. Breakfast was great, delicious. The room was clean, comfortable, stylish.
Everything was amazing. Bedroom clean, small but beautiful. Staff so great, breakfast amazing. I’ll talk to everyone I know to be there when in Venice. Sure we’ll be there next time. They are amazing.
