We arrived for honeymoon vacation at the novecento boutique hotel, no words to describe our feeling, the stuff are very kindly and helping us in every thing we need, they also surprised us with honeymoon gift in the room. The room is very quiet, big and unique. The breakfast is delicious and special. We for sure will come back to...

This was the third time in four years that I have travelled from Dallas to meet my daughter for a week in Venice during her mid winter break from teaching in Istanbul. We have always stayed at the Novecento based on an initial recommendation from the New York Times a few years ago. The hotel is cozy, comfortable and charming...

We spent an extended weekend in Venice, previously made a few daytrips here. I can only confirm the many previous positive feedbacks of this hotel. The staff is great, no matter if it's weekday or weekend, day or night - they are all friendly and much helpful (english speaking). You can tell they like their job and the place they...

It's not cheap, but if you like a small property with character then this is an excellent choice. The staff make the place, they are so friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, and the street is quite quiet and well placed to walk to San Marco, Rialto and the Academia bridge to cross over to San Polo and Dorsoduro...

Gorgeous boutique hotel. Great location, lovely warm rooms (it's very cold there in winter!) and helpful staff. We try and stay in a different hotel every trip, and this was one of the best places we've stayed in Venice.

Great communication with us prior to arrival. Started our honeymoon here and staff was very welcoming. Good location. Amazing breakfast. Conveniently located to walk everywhere, take water bus around Venice and to airport. On the expensive side compared to some other hotels but definitely worth the splurge.

The staff at the Novecento are the nicest and most helpful I have ever met - they went over and above the call of duty to help me find my way around Venice, recommend restaurants, and on the last day, help me get to the airport. The hotel itself is lovely and conveniently located, and quiet. I won't stay anywhere...

We cannot fault this hotel, everything was great. We were able to visit all we wanted easily as the Novecento was very centrally located. The water bus is the best option to get there, and then its a easy walk to the hotel. All the staff were terrific, we will definitely return and recommend it to our friends.

Very nice hotel in great location for exploring Venice. Beds very comfortable. Simple but good breakfast. Lovely and helpful staff. Easy walk from water bus (last stop on Arancio line - orange - from airport). Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

From the tremendous help prior to arrival to the best location and service, we could not have asked for more and feel very lucky to have learned about Novecento from my parents who also highly recommend it. The rooms are cozy and beds are comfortable. Very warm and friendly staff. Breakfast is yummy and there is always tea, coffee, cake,...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
