In expensive venice,Antica Raffineria is a Value for Money option. Its more of a Guest House than a proper hotel , but it has a cosy feel with friendly owners. We had booked a 3 person sharing room as there were 3 adults and 1...More

I felt this hotel was a small hidden treasure box in a great location within the beautiful Venice. The room was absolutely suitable for us, however, the air conditioning was a bit funny. It would have been great to have a small fridge in the...More

You do not feel like a tourist in this neighborhood and can enjoy such quiet mornings/evenings! The hotel is so lovely, in a small square, and you can come and go freely. The room and bathroom were spotless. I love it!

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

I think the Hotel Leonardo has a 24-hour reception but you should contact them to check. This is the sister hotel where you have to check in and collect keys.
