The hotel was nice. The room was spacious. They could have changed our sheets at least once during our 3-night stay. Breakfast was really great.Staff were friendly and kind especially Guiseppe and the guy at breakfast.

Fantastic location - right in the centre of everything, about 15 minutes walk from St Marc's square, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was nice although there was no view as it is on a side street. Decoration was nice, lighting is good too only fault was I would suggest softer pillows for the bed! Man on reception was...

There are only 8 rooms in this small hotel housed in a building built in the 1400's. You can walk to almost all the places you need to visit. The rooms are adequate and there is wifi in all the rooms to keep you in the 21st century. Best way to travel on foot or water bus. What an experience.

The hotel was in a small quiet road and near to most of the places you should visit in Venice. The people working there relay kind and helpfull . the breakfast could have more things like eggs, the room was clean and spacious.

This is a lovely little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Only eight rooms in a very traditional building. It is in an "authentic" area of Venice. As the Venetian's say. Meaning an area where the locals live. No concessions to tourists here just lovely meandering streets with lots of bridges over narrow canals that are only about 10...

This was a nice find. The hotel is literally minutes from the main train station. The hotel is very interesting. You have an elevator to the first floor but not to the other floors. You either have to walk up the steps or take an outside elevator. Streets are very narrow. A couple of things which is why I gave...

This hotel is small, it is in a great location if you plan to head to the outer islands and easy access from airport. Walk to St Marks sq approx 20 mins. The room was comfortable, kettle and TV not that I turned it on. Breakfast was fresh, not loads of choice but adequate. We were able to leave our...

Went to Venice for our 35th wedding anniversary. It was the first time we had been there, what a wonderful place. The apostoli palace is a lovely small hotel with 6 rooms with very friendly staff who were only too happy to help. The location is perfect with some lovely bars and restaurants near by. Would recommend stay here.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
