This hotel, located on a private island only 12 minutes boat shuttle from St Mark’s Square, is absolutely lovely. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s on an island...the shuttle goes every 30 minutes and ran like clockwork.

yes absolutely safe. that is a high end hotel and they have their own boats. we flew into VCE airport. you can email hotel for transfers. they take luggage etc and you can sit down in the boat. the hotel has a massive... More
yes absolutely safe. that is a high end hotel and they have their own boats. we flew into VCE airport. you can email hotel for transfers. they take luggage etc and you can sit down in the boat. the hotel has a massive garden and pool too. it would be wonderful for a toddler away from the chaos during the day in Venice from the cruise ships. try to go to Venice early morning or late evening when the crowds are gone. or go interior to some of the off the beaten path areas. Viator has some private trips too. and there is a separate island that is beautiful!
