This hotel is about 10 mins walk east of St.Mark's Square with the crowds left behind you and the lovely Garibaldi street out front with the lagoon as a backdrop. It has great staff, especially Ricardo at the front desk and you can sit outside...More
This little Pensione is close to the Arsenale vaporetto stop and only a few minutes walk from St Mark’s Square. We enjoyed it for its simplicity and the warmness of the welcome. No airs and graces and all quite simple, but for a single night...More
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

Dear Mrs. Trinch,
from the Airport Marco Polo you can take a Water Taxi direct to our Hotel jetty, the taxi can take up to 8 people plus luggage; the cost for 6 people and luggage should be 120.00/130.00 Euro and the ride will take only 30 minutes.
You can also reserve it in advance from the Venezia Taxi website
In alternative there is the public Shuttle Boat ALILAGUNA Blue Line to Arsenale, it cost 15.00 Euro per person and takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
If you send us a direct email we can provide you with detailed instructions on a pdf file.
Looking forward to the pleasure of hearing further from you, we remain,
with best regards,
