This place is very authentic and the hosts treat you very well. Breakfast is served in the room which is such a luxury :) overall a great place ! Do hire a porter if you have issues walking with luggage as two bridges fall in the way from station to here.

We had a cute little room on the 3rd floor. It was very well located - not more than 5/10 minutes walk from the the train station. The room was very clean and the hosts wonderful. We took the breakfast that was served on the roof top. Hosts pay attention to details and make sure your stay is an unforgettable...

From the moment we met Enrica after a long days' travelling we knew we'd made the right decision! The place is awesome. We stayed in one of the apartments...it was beautiful, super clean and huge. Enrica and staff super friendly and helpful. Great location. I honestly cannot praise highly enough.

We found this delightful B&B easily with a map provided by the management. It's a short walk from Piazzale Roma, so was very convenient for the airport bus. It's tucked away in such a pretty area of Venice, within walking distance of St Mark's but without the hustle and bustle of the centre. The rooms are charming, in antique palazzo...

My husband and I had an incredible time staying at Ca Della Corte on our recent trip to Venice. Just a 20 minute (if that) walk from the crazy hustle and bustle of Piazza San Marco, it's far enough out that you can enjoy Venice like a Venetian but close enough that you're a quick walk or vaporetto ride to...

The best city break ever. Rich breakfast . Host very kind. Central location.Attic room is very nice and intimate and seagulls will give waking up very early, but it's nice . You can dine on the terrace in the attic. Thank you Ca' Della Corte

Like they say, part of the fun of Venice is getting lost. The hotel was a bit challenging to find, even with directions but once we made it in, we loved the coziness and hospitality of owner Enrica. She was lovely and offered great options to explore Venice. The room was a little dated and the shower was tiny (can't...

We got two rooms, beautifully decorated and clean! Equipped with a teapot, cups, cookies, tea and coffee. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. It has a grat location, six minutes walk from Piazza Roma, so you don't have to walk too mich with your luggage. The area is nice and quiet with nice restaurants arround.

Went here as 2 adults and 3 small children at an apartment 30 metres down the street. The staff were friendly from the start. Best checkin I've ever experienced in a sofa with the cat Kit in the courtyard. The breakfast is served in our room after our specification and the room is cleaned daily. If I ever go back...

As there were four of us we received a family room a very short walk from the hotel. It far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located in a picturesque location just a short walk from the Piazzale Roma bus station. The staff made us very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
