We first picked this hotel based on its close location to the train station, making it super convenient to connect with the train from to our home base in Rome, yet nicely separated from the hussle and bussle of the station by the Grand Conal, with a tiny piazzetta adjacent to the hotel for delighttful morning breakfasts in the outside breezy canal air, and supplying interesting scenery and people watching opportunities. Our first visit we immediately connected with the welcoming staff, learning their names and a bit about their backgrounds. They were super helpful and friendly and recognized us easily a year later when I called for a reservation. They gave us a quiet back room on the top floor and surprised us with a free private taxi ride to Murano avoiding the longer packed water bus trip. The bathroom is tiny but very modern and efficient, and we had nice views of both the canal and the rooftops of the island from the two windows. We loved everything about this place, but it was the people connection that pulled us in. We hope to return in the future.…
The staff is outstanding in every way . They are always ready to assist you .The rooms are extremely clean and decorated in a romantic Venetian style. Breakfast has anything you would like. Coffee made for you ! Perfect location if traveling by train. Nice local restaurants near hotel . This was our second stay and we definitely will stay again.
This hotel is AMAZING. It is right across the street from the train station. There were porters at the station to help us get our luggage across the steps of the bridge. It was VERY convenient. The staff at the hotel were incredible. They were very helpful and pleasant. I was blown away by our room - it even had a little balcony overlooking the canal. The room was BEAUTIFUL - even the bathroom which had glass chandeliers built into the mirror. The staff helped us plan tours (they even gave us a free shuttle to Murano) and helped us get around the city - basically they told us general directions and let us enjoy wandering around the city - which is extremely fun. The breakfast was great! They had MANY offerings - two rooms full - and everything was delicious! There was NOTHING about this hotel that could have been improved up. I think I could live there and be perfectly happy! I really hope to return to Venice one day - and I will definitely stay here!…
This hotel felt very Venetian with all the modern amenities. It was right on the grand canal across from the train station. If traveling by train, you will not need to lug you luggage far. There are gondola tours available right out front. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We had an early morning train before breakfast opened. They were kind enough to pack a few things for us to eat on the train
Staff was so helpful and arranged our dinner reservations which were excellent. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Staff was knowledgeable and arranged our gondola trip and water taxi to Murano and Burano at very reasonable prices. The breakfast which is included is excellent. I highly recommend Hotel Antiche Figure.
This has a great location on the Grand Canal, yet close to actual neighborhoods that were fun to explore. The staff made me feel like family…personally making my cappuccino each morning and providing a free water taxi to Murano and will cheerfully help you plan your day.
Excellent location..but best of all was the care and service...we have stayed in much more expensive hotels in Venice...but this will be our go-to from now on. Great on all accounts. And the included breakfast was perfecy way to start the day.
we have stayed in this hotel before and it remains first class. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. It is directly opposite the main train station so ideal if your arriving by train. 2 minutes away. We hope to return one day
We stayed for one night as we were due to fly home from Venice airport. The hotel is conveniently situated opposite the train station via a bridge (it’s worth getting a station porter to take your bags over the bridge at a cost of €20 if you’re bags are heavy!) The rooms are large snd spacious. The next day we were let down by a taxi who was supposed to drop us at the airport. Without hesitation the Swiss gentleman on reception walked us to the bus station and carried a case.. many thanks for a memorable stay and your ‘beyond the call of duty’ assistance to get us to the airport on time.Highly recommended for the location and the excellent staff!
This place is wonderful. The location is fantastic, right across the canal from the train station and close to the bus station, and yet not as crazy busy as I would expect. In front, they have tables to sit and enjoy the beauty of the canal and the city. All the staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast is one of the best we have had in Europe. The beds and rooms were comfy. They even left yummy candies on our pillows every day. They helped with private tours and transfers from the airport. They were truly amazing - We rarely stay at hotels but I would not hesitate for even a second to go back to this place.
